Value for Badziakouski

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Mikita Badziakouski limped the {A-Spades}{J-Spades} first to act and Steve O'Dwyer called in the small blind with {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}, Manig Loeser checked the {A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} in the big blind. On the {J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop, O'Dwyer was the only player to check-call a bet of 65,000 by Badziakouski with his middle pair.

On the {2-Spades} turn, O'Dwyer checked again and Badziakouski bet 185,000, which O'Dwyer called. The {10-Hearts} appeared on the river, both players checked and Badziakouski claimed the pot before all remaining eight players headed into a 15-minute break.

Set for Sontheimer

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Peter Jetten raised to 100,000 with {A-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Rui Cao came along from the small blind with {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, Wai Leong Chan filled up from the big blind with {3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. The {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop, the blinds checked to Jetten and his bet of 100,000 was called by Cao only.

The {10-Diamonds} turn gave Jetten top two pair and Cao checked to him, prompting the Canadian to bet 300,000 and force a quick fold.

Mikita Badziakouski opened to 110,000 with the {5-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Steffen Sontheimer called with {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} in the hijack, Jetten defended in the big blind with {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Jetten took the lead on the {K-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, however, all three players checked. There was no action on the {9-Hearts} turn either, and the {7-Diamonds} river gave Sontheimer a set.

Jetten and Badziakouski checked, and the start-of-the-day chip leader made it 285,000 to go. Jetten folded and so did Badziakouski.

Wai Leong Chan raised it up to 110,000 with the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and Cao defended the {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. Loeser and Leow Chip Up

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Wai Leong Chan raised to 110,000 from the hijack with the {A-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Manig Loeser called with the {Q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. The duo checked the {Q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop and Loeser's bet of 140,000 on the {10-Spades} turn won the pot uncontested.

Ivan Leow opened to 110,000 with {J-Spades}{10-Spades} and Loeser came along from the button with {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}, Steffen Sontheimer defended the {9-Spades}{6-Hearts} in the big blind. The {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop was checked by all three players and the {4-Clubs} turn paired the board. It was Leow that bet 185,000 into 395,000 and he was hiding his face with his hoodie

Small Pots in New Level

Level 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Manig Loeser raised it up with the {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and Wai Leong Chan called in the big blind with {A-Hearts}{8-Spades}. On the {J-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, Chan check-folded to a bet of 65,000 by Loeser.

Soon after, when the blinds went up, Rui Cao raised with the {A-Spades}{8-Spades} and Peter Jetten called with the {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. A bet of 70,000 on the {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop did the trick for Cao.

Dietrich Fast Eliminated in 9th Place (HKD1,956,000/$249,165)

Dietrich Fast
Dietrich Fast

Manig Loeser opened to 85,000 with the {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} in the hijjack and Dietrich Fast in the small blind moved all in for 230,000 with {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}. Rui Cao clicked it back to 390,000 from the big blind with {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and Loeser went all in over the top for 1,550,000. Cao let go after using a time bank extension and Fast was in need or a miracle in the showdown against the defending champion.

On the {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop, Fast picked up a gutshot, but the {7-Clubs} turn and {2-Hearts} river were both blanks to eliminate Fast in 9th place for HKD1,956,000 ($249,165).
