Colman Second-Best to Seidel and Kempe

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

In a battle of the blinds, barely any chips were in the middle and the board showed {K-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Dan Colman bet 70,000 out of the small blind, more than the pot, and Erik Seidel eventually called after some consideration. Colman showed {J-Spades}{5-Clubs} for a bluff, and Seidel scooped the pot with {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

One hand later, Colman opened to 35,000 and Rainer Kempe called in the big blind. The duo checked the {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop and Kempe's bet of 41,000 had not even touched the carpet yet on the {5-Clubs} turn when Colman had already folded.

"It's a New World Order"

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

After losing two small pots to Dan Colman and Sergio Aido respectively, Rainer Kempe open-shoved first to act. Until that point, Kempe had as many chips as his three opponents combined and Aido folded on the button. Colman checked his cards in the small blind and announced the call, while Erik Seidel folded in the big blind.

Dan Colman: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Rainer Kempe: {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

"We are all in," Colman said and Mustapha Kanit came closer from the rail. "Ace king is no good for me today, you are on your own" Kanit joked and walked away from the table.

After the board came {10-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}, the kicker played a crucial role and Colman doubled for 350,000, joining Kempe atop the counts. Seidel commented on the outcome of the hand with "it's a new world order" and is among the two short stacks at four left along with Aido.

Timofey Kuznetsov Eliminated in 5th Place (HK$ 708,000)

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Timofey Kuznetsov
Timofey Kuznetsov

Within two hands, the stack of Day 1 chip leader Timofey "Trueteller" Kuznetsov has been reduced to zero.

Hand 1

Sergio Aido started the action with a raise and picked up two calls by Kuznetsov in the small blind and Erik Seidel in the big blind. The flop of {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs} was checked through and Kuznetsov then bet the {3-Hearts} turn for 38,000. Seidel raised to 83,000 and Aido folded, Kuznetsov called.

The {J-Spades} river saw Kuznetsov check, Seidel moved all in for 92,000 and Kuznetsov called within a few seconds. Seidel rolled over {3-Clubs}{3-Spades} for a turned set and that won the hand, as Kuznetsov mucked.

Hand 2

One hand later, Kuznetsov shoved for 101,000 from the button and Rainer Kempe called in the big blind.

Timofey Kuznetsov: {K-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Rainer Kempe: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

"The king will come," Kuznetsov joked, as suited kings had been good to the Russian on Day 1. One of the victims of Kuznetsov's hot run was Winfred Yu and he was there to sweat the showdown.

The flop fell {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} and nothing changed. On the {A-Hearts} turn, Kuznetsov asked if he was allowed to squeeze the river. The request was denied, and a blank {5-Hearts} river eliminated Kuznetsov in 5th place for HK$ 708,000. Yu walked over to Seidel and Kempe, jokingly thanked them. Kuznetsov didn't mind though, and left with a smile on the face.

Kuznetsov Drops Some Against Colman

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Hand 1

Sergio Aido limped in from the small blind and Dan Colman checked his option in the big blind. On the {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop, both players checked. Aido bet the {7-Diamonds} turn for 20,000 and was called before doing so again for the same amount on the {9-Hearts} river. Colman called and mucked once Aido showed {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for a full house.

Hand 2

The next battle of the blinds one hand later saw Colman bet the {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop for 12,000. Timofey Kuznetsov raised top 36,000 and Colman called before the {A-Clubs} turn and {5-Hearts} river were checked through. Colman showed {J-Hearts}{9-Spades} and that won the pot.

The Action Slows Down

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Erik Seidel raised to 31,000 in the small blind and Rainer Kempe called in the big blind. The {A-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop saw Seidel continue for 25,000 and Kempe called. Both the {A-Hearts} turn and the {5-Spades} river went check, check. Seidel flashed {Q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and Kempe scooped the pot with {5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}.

Seidel then moved all in to claim the blinds and antes before Kempe opened to 29,000 in the cutoff. Sergio Aido shoved from the button and that won the pot right there.

Aido Chips Up

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

After coming back from the break, Sergio Aido chipped up and then chopped a pot with Dan Colman in a battle of the blinds when both found middle pair on a king-high board.

Right after, Rainer Kempe opened to 29,000 from the cutoff and Aido moved all in from the button. That won the blinds and antes, as well as Kempe's raise.

Aido jumped ahead of Erik Seidel and is no longer the shortest stack with five players remaining.

Colman Takes from Kuznetsov; Folds to Shove After

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Hand 1

After coming back from the break, Dan Colman raised from the small blind and Timofey Kuznetsov defended the big blind. On the {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, both invested 27,000 and the {4-Spades} fell on the river. Colman checked and Kuznetsov bet 45,000.

"I might be slowrolling," Colman joked and leaned back with a smile. Kuznetsov smiled back and eventually received the call. Kuznetsov turned over {10-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Colman revealed his {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for the better kicker. "You were slowrolling," Kuznetsov grinned over to the other side of the table.

Hand 2

One hand later, Colman opened to 26,000 on the button and Kuznetsov asked for the stack of Erik Seidel in the big blind before moving all in. That forced two folds and Kuznetsov got some chips back.
