Kempe Claws Back Some Chips

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Erik Seidel raised to 50,000 from the button and Rainer Kempe shoved out of the small blind to claim the pot.

Soon after, Seidel limped in and Kempe checked the big blind. On the {7-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop, Seidel check-called a bet of 24,000 before checking the {K-Diamonds} turn. Kempe now made it 102,000 to go and that was enough to win the pot uncontested.

Colman Takes the Lead

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

In a limped pot, Rainer Kempe bet the {8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop out of the small blind for 27,000 and Dan Colman called in the big blind. The {J-Diamonds} turn went check, check, before the {6-Diamonds} river saw a check by Kempe and a bet worth 85,000 by Colman.

Kempe motioned with his hands to think through the hand and ultimately came to the conclusion that it wasn't meant to be. Colman and Kempe are now almost even in chips, however Erik Seidel is not too far behind.

Colman Doubles Through Kempe

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Rainer Kempe limped in from the small blind and Dan Colman checked his option in the big blind.

The flop fell {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Kempe checked, Colman bet 20,000 and immediately faced a check-raise to 79,000 by Kempe. Colman called and the {K-Hearts} appeared on the turn. Kempe bet 400,000, which easily covered Colman's remaining stack. The latter snap-called and the cards were turned over.

Dan Colman: {K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Rainer Kempe: {J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

The {K-Clubs} on the river failed to improve Kempe's gutshot and flush draw, instead Colman even made a full house to double.

Seidel Bests Colman Twice

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Three-handed play saw the first blood go to Erik Seidel after taking a middle-sized pot off Dan Colman. And he would do so again soon after when Colman raised the small blind to 60,000. Seidel called in the big blind and the flop came {K-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}.

Colman continued for 35,000 and Seidel raised to 85,000, which secured the pot without any further resistance.

Sergio Aido Eliminated in 4th Place (HK$ 1,011,000)

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Sergio Aido
Sergio Aido

Down to around 115,000, Sergio Aido moved all in from the small blind and Dan Colman glanced at his cards in the big blind, then called quickyl after.

Sergio Aido: {7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Dan Colman: {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

This time, the kicker problem would persist as the board ran out {J-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. Colman's king-high straight scooped the pot and Aido was eliminated in 4th place for HK$ 1,011,000. After just winning a High Roller event in Macau, it is the next big score for the Spaniard in Asia and he has another chance in the Main Event as of tomorrow.

Aido Rides the River Double

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Sergio Aido moved all in for his last 81,000 first to act and Rainer Kempe called in the big bling.

Aido was in bad shape with {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, as Kempe had the better kicker with {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. The {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} flop was of no help just yet for the Spaniard, and that didn't change with the {6-Clubs} turn either. Aido had some chop outs though, but he also happily took the {7-Diamonds} river that gave him two pair and the double.

Kempe open-shoved the next two hands and got the lost chips back right away.

Kempe's Queens Win the Pot; Next Break

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

The last hand of the level saw Dan Colman limp in from the button and Erik Seidel completed out of the small blind. Rainer Kempe raised to 85,000 in the big blind and just Colman called.

On the {A-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop, Kempe bet 54,000 and Colman called before the {A-Diamonds} turn triggered checks by both. On the {7-Diamonds} river, Kempe and Colman checked it down once again and the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades} of Kempe won the pot.

The four remaining players then headed into a 10-minute break, Seidel spent the time listening to music on his headphones at the table.

Seidel and Aido Short; But Fighting

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Rainer Kempe raised to 34,000 first to act and the action folded to Erik Seidel in the big blind. He three-bet to 105,000 and Kempe folded.

One hand later, Sergio Aido moved all in and Kempe asked for a count in the big blind. The shove was for 123,000, which proved to be too much for Kempe. Aido moved to around 10 big blinds, while Seidel has more than double of that.

Kempe Back on Track; Leaves Aido Short

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Hand 1

In a min-raised pot, Dan Colman checked out of the big blind on the river of a board {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Erik Seidel bet 50,000. Colman check-raised to 225,000 and Seidel folded with the words "easy to bluff."

Hand 2

Sergio Aido opened to 32,000 first to act and Rainer Kempe flat-called in the big blind. On the {8-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop, Kempe check-called a continuation bet worth 30,000 before doing so again on the {Q-Diamonds} turn for 80,000. Aido left himself with less than 10 big blinds behind and the {8-Hearts} river paired the board.

Both players checked and Kempe was first to show after the button, he flipped over {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and that was good enough to win the pot.

Kempe shoved the next hand from the small blind and Aido reluctantly gave up his big blind.
