All Hail King Kuretsky

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Peter Kuretsky raised to 75,000 and Jay "Rockets" Melancon three-bet all in for roughly 665,000 next to act. Action folded back to Kuretsky and he wasted little time in calling off for 592,000 total.

Peter Kuretsky: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Jay Rockets: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

It was a cooler and Rockets was on the wrong side of it. The board ran out {2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{k-Spades} and Kuretsky improved to trip kings to double up.

Swanberg Wins Flip to Double Through Mader

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Phil Mader opened with a raise from late position and Ryan Swanberg moved all in on the button. Action back around to Mader who called.

Phil Mader: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Ryan Swanberg: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

It was a flip with Mader ahead until the {4-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{j-Hearts} flop hit the felt pairing Swanberg.

Swanberg improved with the {a-Spades} turn but it also added outs to Mader's hand as he picked up a broadway draw.

Swanberg was able to breathe after the dealer completed the board with the {4-Clubs} river securing his double up.

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Ian Matakis opened from the cutoff and Tom Stambaugh three-bet jammed on the button. Action was on Anthony Dunne who called for less from the small blind and Matakis let his hand go.

Anthony Dunne: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Tom Stambaugh: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Dunne was ahead and nothing changed after the {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Spades}{k-Diamonds} runout securing his double up for 390,000.

Stambaugh was left with around 100,000 and was eliminated shortly after.

Nuthak Eliminated By Wilike

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Chris Nuthak
Chris Nuthak

Steve Wilkie opened on the button and Chris Nuthak called from the small blind to see a {3-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop.

Nuthak check-called Wilkie's 100,000 continuation bet to the {2-Hearts} turn where the action repeated itself to the {4-Hearts} river.

Nuthak checked one last time and Wilkie moved all in putting Nuthak at risk. Nuthak took a few moments but then called off the rest of his chips and both players tabled their hands.

Steve Wilkie: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Chris Nuthak: {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

Nuthak didn't like what he saw as Wilkie turned the nut-flush eli=minating Nuthak from the tournament.

Matakis Gets Some Lady Luck to Dispatch Vig

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
David Vig
David Vig

Ian Matakis, who has been on a heater as of late, raised to 40,000 under the gun only to have David Vig three-bet jam for 206,000 from the cutoff. The button and blinds all got out of the way and Matakis gave it some thought before making the call.

David Vig: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Ian Matakis: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Vig was primed to double but then the flop came down {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} to pair the queen of Matakis.

Vig called for a ten, which would give him a Broadway straight, but his request fell on deaf ears as the {8-Spades} bricked on the turn followed by the {9-Spades} on the river.

Vig saw his tournament come to an end in 31st place for $3,416.
