Mark Sandness Eliminated in 14th Place ($9,318)

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Mark Sandness
Mark Sandness

Former MSPT champ Mark Sandness raised all in for 480,000 from early position and Yevgeniy Minakrin jammed over the top from the button. Both blinds folded and it was off to the races.

Yevgeniy Minakrin: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Mark Sandness: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

Sandness was looking to hold to stay alive, but that proved easier said than done as the flop fell {8-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{2-Clubs} to pair Minakrin.

Neither the {6-Spades} turn nor {3-Diamonds} river helped Sandness and he hit the rail in 14th place.

Phil Mader Eliminated in 15th Place ($9,318)

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Phil Mader
Phil Mader

Azim Ishanov opened under the gun for 100,000 and Phil Mader three-bet jammed for roughly 600,000 on the button. Action folded back to Ishanov who called.

Phil Mader: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Azim Ishanov: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Ishanov was ahead with his made hand of kings and nothing changed after the {9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{q-Clubs} flop.

The {3-Clubs} came on the turn and Mader needed to spike an ace to stay alive but the river paired the board with the {4-Diamonds} ending his tournament in 15th place.

Jonathan Kim Eliminated in 16th Place ($7,764)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Jonathan Kim
Jonathan Kim

Steve Wilkie opened for 65,000 from the hijack and Jonathan Kim three-bet all in for roughly 400,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded and action was back on Wilkie who called.

Steve Wilkie: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Jonathan Kim: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Kim was ahead but not after the {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{q-Diamonds} flop.

The {q-Hearts} turn gave Wilkie a full house leaving Kim drawing dead and he took his exit after the {k-Diamonds} river completed the board.

Bennett Wadekamper Eliminated in 17th Place ($7,764)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Bennett Wadekamper
Bennett Wadekamper

Action folded to Bennett Wadekamper, the son of former MSPT Canterbury Park champ Mark Wadecamper, and he moved all in for his last 275,000. Aaron Johnson was in the small blind and jammed all in over the top.

Aaron Johnson: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Bennett Wadekamper: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Wadekamper had a kicker problem and it didn't get resolved as the board ran out a lackluster {7-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

Ian Matakis opened with a raise from late position and called when Stephen Senger three-bet jammed for approximately 260,000 from the small blind.

Stephen Senger: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
Ian Matakis: {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

It was a flip but not after the flop came down {10-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{4-Spades} to give Matakis top two pair. Neither the {3-Diamonds} turn nor {9-Clubs} river helped Senger and he hit the rail in 18th place.

Johnson Hits Running Cards to Eliminate Tran

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Andy Tran
Andy Tran

Andy Tran open-jammed for 210,000 from the cutoff and Andrew Johnson called from the big blind.

Andy Tran: {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Andrew Johnson: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

Tran was live and connected on the {7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop.

The {6-Hearts} came on the turn giving Johnson the nut-flush draw that would complete with the {k-Hearts} river sending Tran home in 19th place.
