Srinivas Bubbles the High Roller; Zaffran Also Misses the Money

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Santosh Srinivas bubbles

On all three tables there was an all in, and two players were at risk while David Urban folded in a massive pot against Sebastian Malec. As a result, the bubble burst in spectacular fashion.

Hand 1

Michael Uguccioni raised to 12,500 and Robert Zipf called from one seat over. Jean Paul Zaffran moved all in and Uguccioni asked for a count. Zaffran was all in for 71,000 and Uguccioni then shoved after getting a count on the stack of Zipf. The latter folded and said in table chat he had ace-king.

Jean Paul Zaffran: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Michael Uguccioni: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

The board came {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and Zaffran was eliminated to reduce the field to the last 21.

Hand 2

A massive pot emerged in a raising war between David Urban from early position and Sebastian Malec in the small blind. More than 100,000 were in the middle and the flop showed {A-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. Malec bet 55,000 and Urban called before the 2016 EPT Barcelona champion shoved the {8-Hearts} turn. Urban asked for a count and Malec was all in for 177,500, having had Urban covered by two big blinds. After long consideration, Urban folded.

Hand 3

At the same time, Santosh Srinivas was all in for the last 35,000 and Zoltan Ban called in the big blind. They had to wait until the Malec vs Urban hand was over, and then the showdown took place.

Santosh Srivinas: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Zoltan Ban: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

After a board of {K-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, the Indian was crowned bubble boy and the remaining 20 players have €3,437 locked up.

Srinivas Doubles

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Phillipp Teipel open-shoved the small blind for just under 15 big blinds and claimed the antes and big blind.

Then, Santosh Srinivas moved all in for his last 16,000 from under the gun. Antoine Vranken called, and Randy Lew in the small blind as well as Boris Kuzmanovic in the big blind got out of the way.

Santosh Srinivas: {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Antoine Vranken: {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

The board came {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Srinivas turned a straight to double. "You had a good feeling about that hand eh?" Daniil Kiselev joked and Srinivas laughed.

Vranken Doubles

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The stack of Santosh Srinivas has dwindled all the way down to less than four big blinds while an interesting hand emerged right behind him. Daniil Kiselev opened to 13,500 on the button and Antoine Vranken grabbed his stack in the small blind and moved it forward. The big blind folded and Kiselev called to see Vranken turn over {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

Only then, they noticed that Vranken had another 2,000 behind and Kiselev said "okay I call," then tabled {J-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. On the {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop, Vranken put his last chips in and Kiselev called, the {4-Hearts} turn and {9-Hearts} river completed the board. Vranken doubled for 48,500 and Kiselev lost some momentum.

One table over, Leonardo Mancuso pushed for just 39,500 and David Urban reluctantly folded. Mancuso showed him {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Urban flashed {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}.

Bartos Doubles Through Skipper

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Hand 1

Paul Skipper raised to 12,000 from under the gun and picked up two callers in Anestis Anagnostidis out of the small blind and Sebastian Malec in the big blind. On the {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop, the action checked to Skipper and he bet 33,500. That was enough to force two folds, but table chat emerged by Phillipp Teipel, Skipper and David Urban.

Skipper gave Teipel the choice to either pick one card or tell him what he had, to which Teipel initially opted for the one card to shiw, then changed his mind. Skipper claimed to have had red tens, and then gave Urban the same choice, who declined.

Hand 2

Exactly one hand later, Martin Bartos from under the gun and Skipper in the big blind clashed with the former at risk for 71,500.

Martin Bartos: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Paul Skipper: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}

Bartos had a sweat on the board {J-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, but eventually dodged the jack, ace and flush draw to double.

Urban Takes from Skipper

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Paul Skipper raised to 12,500 and called the three-bet by David Urban on the button. The duo checked down the flop of {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and the {8-Clubs} turn. On the {2-Hearts} river, Skipper bet 32,500 and Urban eventually called. Skipper briefly showed his cards, but could not beat Urban's {J-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

Down to 22 Players

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Anestis Anagnostidis raised to 10,000 and Eric Mor moved all in for around 50,000 in the small blind, the call followed soon after.

Eric Mor: {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Anestis Anagnostidis: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}

Mor only had one over card, but failed to get there with the board running out {J-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}. This reduced the field to the last 22, and the money is just two spots away.

Teipel Finds a Double

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Eric Mor raised to 10,500 from early position and Phillipp Teipel moved all in for 48,000 from the cutoff. Mor asked for a count and eventually called for more than half of his stack.

Phillipp Teipel: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Eric Mor: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

After a board of {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{5-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Mor was left with just 36,000 and he open-shoved the next hand to win a few chips back.

Koran Busts to Zipf

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Michael Koran was down to the last 10 big blinds and moved all in from the hijack for exactly 50,000. Robert Zipf had that covered by a few chips only and reraised all in from one seat over. The action folded to Dorin Rauta in the big blind, and the Romanian folded the {A-Spades}.

"Oh no, you are stealing one of my outs," Koran said when the cards were tabled.

Michael Koran: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
Robert Zipf: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}

The {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop gave Koran the best hand, but he was drawing to a jack only when the {K-Diamonds} appeared on the turn. A blank {10-Spades} river sent Koran to the rail, while Zipf joined the mid stacks close to the money bubble.

Srinivas Folds to Shove

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Santosh Srinivas defended his big blind against the raise by Stefan Schulze in the cutoff and the board then lay completed with {J-Hearts}{4-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Srinivas checked and Schulze moved all in to force a fold. Srinivas is among the shortest stacks, while Mirko Willsch, who has been moved to the next seat, spiked an early double.

Jean Paul Zaffran open-shoved for 94,000 one table over and claimed the blinds and antes without any resistance. Aviv Meiri asked for a count, but eventually folded, as did the rest of the table.
