In the last hand before the break, Christoph Vogelsang raised to 347,000 from the small blind for most of his stack. Rainer Kempe in the big blind announced "I will likely call, but I just want to double check," then indeed called all in for less.

Charlie Carrel limped from the small blind and Isaac Haxton raised to 60,000 in the big blind. Carrel limp-raised to 250,000 and folded to the shove of Haxton.
Then, Mike Watson three-bet shoved into a raise to 50,000 by Sergio Aido to collect the pot without showdown. Fedor Holz did the same against David Peters when her got his last 333,000 in and Peters forfeited his invested 50,000.
Last but not least, Orpen Kisacikoglu raised to 50,000 and Peters called in the big blind. On the 
flop, Peters check-called a bet of 50,000 before the 
turn was checked by both players. Peters bet the 
river for 225,000 and Kisacikoglu folded.

At the end of the previous level, Mustapha Kanit defended his big blind and then check-raised all in for 300,000 on the 
flop. Initial raiser Jean-Noel Thorel, who had bet 100,000, called with the and Kanit showed 
. The turn was a blank, but the river gave Kanit trips sevens. "Fedor would have made a straight," the Italian joked.
Steve O'Dwyer squeezed to 108,000 after a raise by Daniel Dvoress from under the gun and then called the shove of the Canadian only to find himself in bad shape to deal the final blow.

Peters check-called 38,000 on the flop and 91,000 on the turn before checking a third time on the river. Holz bet 325,000 and Peters went deep into the tank. His 30-second clock ran down and he was forced to use a time bank chip to gain another half minute of time to think.
With only a couple seconds left to act, he announced a call.
Holz showed for nothing but a missed turned flush draw. Peters tabled and counted out his 324,000-stack to receive it back times two.
