Ramos Wins a Big One

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Joseph Kushner won two hands in a row. He first raised to 20,000 from under the gun and Felipe Ramos called in the big blind, then check-folded the {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop to a continuation bet worth 25,000 by Kushner.

The American then won a limped pot the very next hand after betting a {Q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop and Fabian Geisel folded.

The next bigger pot would play out a few hands later. Felipe Ramos raised from the cutoff and Ka Kwan Lau defended the big blind. Lau checked and called a bet worth 20,000 by Ramos on the {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop. After the {3-Diamonds} turn, Lau then check-called a second barrel for 45,000 before checking the {A-Diamonds} river.

Ramos instantly checked behind and announced a set, showing {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, and Lau mucked.

Kushner Drops Further

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Fabian Geisel raised to 18,000 and Joseph Kusher called in the cutoff to go heads-up to a flop of {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. Geisel checked and Kushner bet 25,000, picking up a call by the German. Geisel then checked the {6-Hearts} turn and Kushner checked behind, doing so again on the {3-Diamonds} river.

Geisel flipped over his {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a jack-high flush and Kushner mucked to drop down further.

Lau Takes from Kushner

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

On the button Joseph Kushner raised it up to 18,000 and Ka Kwan Lau called in the big blind. On a flop of {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, Lau check-called a continuation bet worth 25,000 and the duo then checked through the {8-Spades} turn and {5-Clubs} river. Lau showed {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for two pair and that won the pot.

Ramos Shoves into Geisel

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Fabian Geisel faced a raise to 14,000 by Felipe Ramos from under the gun and called out of the big blind. On the {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, Geisel checked and then check-raised Ramos' bet of 20,000 to 60,000. Ramos wasted little time before reraising the pot and Geisel folded.

First Break of the Day

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

The first two hours reduced the field of hopefuls from 13 to the last eight, and the money bubble will take place after the next elimination. The players have been sent into a 15-minute break, in which the T-500 chips will be raced off.

Some food for thought on the break.

Ramos and Lau Pick up Pots

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Hok Lee raised to 10,000 on the button and Felipe Ramos called in the big blind. On the {10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop, Ramos checked and Lee continued for 12,000. Ramos check-raised to 40,500 and that won the pot right there.

Then, Maksim Shuts limped in from the small blind and Ka Kwan Lau raised to 15,000, Shuts called. On the {Q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop, Shuts checked and folded to a bet worth 20,000 by Lau.

Geisel Chases Greenwood

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Ka Kwan Lau raised to 16,000 on the button and Sam Greenwood called in the small blind. On the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop, Greenwood check-called a bet worth 25,000 before the duo checked the {9-Hearts} turn and the {2-Diamonds} river. Greenwood announced a set and Lau shook his head, then mucked when Greenwood rolled over {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}.

One hand later, Greenwood raised to 15,000 on the button and Fabian Geisel defended the big blind. The {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop went check, check, and Geisel then bet the {9-Diamonds} turn for 20,000, which Greenwood called. After the {A-Diamonds} river, Geisel fired 50,000 and Greenwood reluctantly folded.

Both Greenwood and Geisel are the most active players on the final table and hold the biggest stacks as well.

Pots for Geisel and Lee

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

The action has slowed down as expected and Fabian Geisel as well as Hok Lee scored small pots.

Geisel raised to 15,000 and Ka Kwan Lau defended the big blind. The flop of {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades} was checked before Lau also checked the {Q-Hearts} turn. Geisel bet 25,000 and that won the pot uncontested.

One hand later, Daniel Geeng limped in from under the gun and Hok Lee did so from one seat over, Sam Greenwood checked his option in the big blind. The {8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop brought no betting action before the {9-Hearts} turn was checked to Lee, who bet 12,000. Only Greenwood called and then check-folded the {6-Hearts} river to a bet worth 30,000.
