Ditz Wins a Big One

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

In the last hand before the break, Benjamin Pollak opened for 100,000 from the cutoff. His neighbor Franz Ditz called from the button, both blinds got out of the way.

Pollak bet 125,000 on {4-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Ditz called. Pollak checked the {9-Clubs} on the turn and called Ditz's 260,000 bet. Pollak check-called another 450,000 on the {A-Clubs} river but mucked with frustration as Ditz showed {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for runner runner top two.

Sam Grafton Eliminated in 11th Place (€75,100)

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

Sam Grafton was the most entertaining player at the tables, as per usual, but his run eventually comes to an end in 11th place. Grafton was involved in a heads-up hand against Markus Durnegger and checked the {8-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop. Durnegger bet 105,000 and Grafton check-raised all in.

"How much is it?" Durnegger asked and Grafton's jam was for 695,000 and Durnegger called.

"Do you have sixes?" Grafton immediately asked and Durnegger shook his head.

Sam Grafton: {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Markus Durnegger: {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Neither the {K-Clubs} turn nor the {A-Hearts} river improved Grafton and he had to settle for a payday of €75,100.

Ronny Kaiser: {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Sotiropoulos Takes from Rodriguez

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Luis Rodriguez Cruz raised to 85,000 and picked up a call by Georgios Sotiropoulos on the button. On the {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop, Rodriguez continued for 125,000 and Sotiropoulos called before the duo checked the {3-Spades} turn. Rodriguez bet again on the {3-Diamonds} river, making it 325,000 to go, and Sotiropoulos called.

Rodriguez showed {A-Spades}{J-Spades}, which ended up second best to the {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} of the Greek.

Grafton and Ditz Fighting

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Sam Grafton three-bet a raise from 100,000 to 600,000 and left himself with just 180,000 behind, which eventually forced folds all around.

Franz Ditz raised to 85,000 on the button and Markus Durnegger three-bet to 280,000 in the big blind. Ditz gave it a quick look and folded, dropping below one million in chips.

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Christopher Kruk
Christopher Kruk

"Anyone want to make a bet who finishes 12th?" Christopher Kruk said before the hand was dealt. As people smiled, the next hand got underway.

Kruk open-shoved for 230,000 from the hijack. Markus Durnegger on the button called and the blinds both folded.

Christopher Kruk: {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Markus Durnegger: {A-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

The {J-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop and {K-Clubs} turn were good for Kruk but the {10-Spades} on the river gave Durnegger a straight and Kruk departed in 12th place. With just 11 players remaining, the players are now guaranteed €75,100.
