Raymond Bluffs Neves; Dattani Bluffs Csik

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Alexandre Raymond opened to 220,000 from the button with {a-Spades}{j-Hearts} and Pedro Neves called with {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} from the big blind. On the {10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop, Neves check-called for 250,000.

The {2-Clubs} turn checked through to the {k-Spades} river and Neves checked for a third time. With just ace-high, Raymond fired for 875,000 and Neves couldn't find the call.

The following hand, Michel Dattani opened to 200,000 from the button with {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. Neves folded his {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} in the small blind but Christoph Csik called with his {a-Hearts}{8-Spades} from the big blind.

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Csik check-called for 150,000. Somehow, the {8-Diamonds} appeared on the turn for the American to make a pair of eights. Csik checked and he then folded when he faced a bet of 425,000.

Small Pots Only for Now

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Pedro Neves opened to 200,000 on the button holding the {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Artur Martirosian found another premium holding with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} in the big blind, three-betting to 900,000.

Neves gave it some thought and then sent the cards into the muck, giving his opponent a stare down after cracking his knuckles.

Christoph Csik raised it up to 215,000 on the button and Alexandre Raymond defended with {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} out of the big blind, which found a gutshot on the {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop. Raymond checked and Csik bet 120,000 to win the pot instantly.

Csik then raised to 215,000 with {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} in the cutoff and Michel Dattani got involved in the action with a big blind defense of {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. The {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop gave Dattani two pair and he checked, prompting a bet of 130,000 by Csik.

What followed was a very small check-raise to 375,000 to win the pot without any further resistance.

Neves Gets There on the River

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Pedro Neves opened to 200,000 with the {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Alexandre Raymond came along out of the big blind with the {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. The Canadian checked his second pair on the {k-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop to then call a bet of 140,000 by Neves. Both opted to check the {3-Hearts} turn and the {a-Hearts} river was quickly checked by Raymond.

Neves gave it some 20 seconds before he announced a bet of 280,000 and Raymond pondered about his next move for a brief period before folding.

Neves Bluffs Csik; Martirosian Takes From Neves

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Artur Martirosian
Artur Martirosian

Pedro Neves made it 350,000 from the small blind with {8-Spades}{5-Spades} and Christoph Csik defended in the big blind with {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.

Both players missed on the {q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop but Neves continued for 200,000. Csik, undeterred, called with his ace-high.

The {j-Diamonds} appeared on the turn and Neves continued to up the ante and slid out a bet of 800,000 which was enough to push Csik out.

The very next hand, Neves opened on the button to 200,000 with {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}. Artur Martirosian peeled his hole cards and looked down at {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. He then three-bet to 920,000. Neves put in the call.

Martirosian made trips on the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop and he bet 300,000 into a pot of 1,990,000. Neves called again.

The {10-Clubs} turn gave Neves a gutshot straight draw but Martirosian, still with the best hand, sized up to 900,000. Neves thought about the call but decided to fold instead.

Martirosian Increases the Pressure on Neves

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Pedro Neves opened to 200,000 in the cutoff with the {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and was called by Alexandre Raymond in the big blind, who had the {j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. The {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop was checked by Raymond, who then instantly folded upon facing a continuation bet of 140,000 by Neves.

Artur Martirosian opened to 220,000 with the {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} in the cutoff and received a call by Neves out of the big blind with {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. The {q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop was checked by Neves and Martirosian made it 200,000 to go, picking up a call from Neves with second pair.

Nothing changed with the {2-Diamonds} turn and Neves checked again. Martirosian upped his sizing to 1,250,000 and won the pot against Neves.

Broadway for Martirosian

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Pedro Neves opened to 200,000 with {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} from the button and Artur Martirosian defended his big blind with {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}.

The {10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop was checked to Neves and he continued for 140,000 and was called which brought in the {4-Spades} turn. Both players checked and the {a-Spades} river gave Martirosian the Broadway straight.

After using up one time bank card, Martirosian led out for 280,000. Neves got out of the way and Martirosian took the chip lead.

Jamil Wakil Eliminated in 6th Place ($307,500)

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Jamil Wakil
Jamil Wakil

In the very first hand of the final day, Jamil Wakil raised to 425,000 out of his short stack from the cutoff and that represented more than half of what he had at his disposal.

Christoph Csik used one time bank extension and then moved all-in for Wakil to call all-in for 755,000.

Jamil Wakil: {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Christoph Csik: {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop instantly left Wakil drawing dead as the {q-Clubs} turn and {2-Clubs} river completed the board.
