Hand-for-Hand

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

With 146 players remaining, hand-for-hand play will begin. The top 144 players will bank a minimum of $15,000, while the next two players eliminated will receive nothing.

It's bubble time.

Another Poor Runout for Ramage

The action folded to Travis Klein, who moved all in for effectively 45,000 from the small blind. Grayson Ramage quickly called.

Klein: {9-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Ramage: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The {6-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop gave Klein a pair, the {6-Spades} on the turn have him trips, and the {8-Diamonds} completed the board.

Ramage, who had his kings cracked by two eights two years ago on the penultimate day of the PCA Main Event, was once again eliminated in brutal fashion.

Mueller Tangles With Sabat

Eddy Sabat opened to 6,300 from under the gun only to have Greg Mueller three-bet to 11,200 from the cutoff. It folded back to Sabat and he called.

Both checked the {3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop which prompted the dealer to drop down the {8-Spades} on fourth street. Sabat checked and Mueller fired 13,000. Sabat called and the board completed with the {K-Diamonds}. Sabat checked once again and Mueller shot out 39,000.

"I really think you've got me," said Sabat. "But..."

Sabat dropped in calling chips. Mueller triumphantly tabled {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for a set of nines and was able to take down the pot, bringing his stack to about 325,000.

Floes Knows

Joe Serock (Day 3) is our current chip leader
Joe Serock (Day 3) is our current chip leader

Nicholas Verkaik opened to 6,000 in late position, Mor Ben David three-bet to 17,500 on his left, and from the blinds, Joe Serock cold four-bet to 36,000. Verkaik quickly folded, and David announced, "All in."

Serock looked at his cards one more time, then called.

David: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Serock: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

The flop, turn, and river came {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}, and David was eliminated.

"Anything to say for the camera, Floes?" Verkaik asked Serock as the production crew huddled around the table.

Serock, who had one ear of his headphones on top of his head, and the audio cable dangling in front of his face simply smiled.

"No," he said cooly.

Malm Max

Michael Malm opened for 8,500 from middle position and was soon met with a three-bet to 20,000 by Max Silver in the hijack. The rest of the field folded, Malm called, and it was heads-up action to the {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} flop, which both players checked.

When the dealer burned and turned the {7-Spades}, Malm led for 20,000, Silver called, and then both players returned to checking on the {9-Clubs} river. Malm then tabled {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}, which bested the {A-}{J-} of Silver.
