Day 1 of the £2,000 buy-in GUKPT Luton High Roller took place yesterday and collected 46 entries for an £84,600 prize pool.
10 players return for Day 2 at 3 p.m., including chipleader Terry Jordan, GUKPT London Main Event champion Timothy Chung, James Rann, Tom Hall, Sebastien Jung, Chris Williams, Jacob Mulhearn, Matt Davenport, Cal Morreale and Yucel Eminoglu.

with five players in the pot, and Ben Maregedze bet 600 from middle position. Three players called before the action checked through on the 
turn. The

Guillaume Soumier had lifetime live poker tournament winnings of £4,455 until he decided to venture to Luton and compete in the £250 buy-in 2022 GUKPT Luton Mini Main Event. Soumier's decision turned out to be a great one because he came out on top of a 533-strong field to bank £30,400 of the £117,260 prize pool.
Soumier's largest score, prior to this impressive victory, tipped the scales at £2,700, his reward for winning a £57 buy-in tournament in Manchester back in August 2018. He was guaranteed a new career-high when there were seven players remaining in the 2022 GUKPT Luton Mini Main Event but ended up closing out the tournament for his first five-figure haul.
Dilan Davda raised to 300 from the hijack and received four calls. Davda continued for 600 on the
