Welcome to the Grosvenor Casino Luton for the latest event on the Grosvenor United Kingdom Poker Tour (GUKPT).
Today's Main Event gets underway at midday with the first of three starting flights in the £1,250 buy-in tournament.
In March, Joe Hindry defeated a 416-player field to win the GUKPT Coventry Main Event for £93,460.
Earlier this year in London, Timothy Chung defeated a record 702-player field to take home £185,560.
The Main Event features a 60-minute structure with ten levels played on Day 1 and a 20,000 starting stack. Players are allowed up to three entries per flight, with late registration open to the start of Day 2.

The flop was down and both Phil Tate and Anthony Hughes checked.
Both players opted to check on the turn, and again on the river. Hughes tabled and Tate took down the pot after he revealed for the flush.

Peter Hackshaw raised to 300 from early position and James Parker called from the small blind. Parker check-called a 500 continuation-bet from Hackshaw on the flop and then led for 500 on the turn. Hackshaw called and Parker checked on the river.
Hackshaw threw a single 1,000 chip into the middle, and Parker called after a few moments of thought.
Hackshaw flipped over and Parker mucked.

Jozsef Csapo raised to 300 from middle position and Cem Yucedal defended his big blind. Yucedal checked on the before raising a 300 continuation-bet from Csapo to 1200. Csapo made the call and Yucedal bet 2,500 on the turn.
Csapo gave himself a minute of thought before he opted to muck, and Yucedal collected the pot.

James Parker raised to 300 from the hijack before Michael Dunleavy, in the cutoff, and Ciaran McCullagh, in the big blind, called. All three players checked on the and Dunleavy bet 600 on the turn after the action checked to him. Both opponents called and the hit the river.
Both McCullagh and Parker checked and then folded after Dunleavy placed another 1,500 into the middle.
