The WPT Global ambassador roster has gained even more star quality with the online poker site welcoming National Hockey League (NHL) legend Phil Kessel to the WPT Global community in Canada. Kessel, a three-time Stanley Cup winner, joins Phil Ivey, Brad Owen, Ethan Yau, Jon Van Fleet, Angel Guillen, Patrick Tardif, Xuan Liu, and Pete Chen in sporting the famous WPT Global patch.

Kessel racked up almost 1,300 NHL regular season games for the Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs, Pittsburgh Penguins, Arizona Coyotes, and the Vegas Golden Knights, scoring 413 goals, providing 579 assists, and amassing 992 points. A keen poker player when he's not on the ice, Kessel has been a regular in the Canadian poker community and is now the hockey icon, bringing his fun energy and engaging presence to the WPT Global online tables.

"We're absolutely thrilled to welcome Phil to the WPT Global brand," said Alex Scott, President of WPT Global. "Phil has not only excelled as a world-class ice hockey player but is also a huge poker enthusiast who embodies the values we hold dear. He's engaging, passionate, and always striving to improve—qualities that make him a perfect fit for the WPT Global poker community. His unique connection to both sports and poker gives him the ability to bridge those worlds, and we're excited to deliver unforgettable experiences for our players, especially in Canada, both on and off the felt."

Kessel will meet and greet players heading to the massive WPT Playground Festival in Montreal before hosting his own Iron Man Poker Tournament on November 27 on WPT Global. This Iron Man event boasts a range of fantastic prizes, including a VIP WPT World Championship experience in Las Vegas, where you can play a round of golf with Kessel.

Making players dreams come true is high on WPT Global's agenda, as the site's president, Alex Scott, recently highlighted.
