Coren Mitchell Eliminated In Revenge Hit

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Victoria Coren Mitchell
Victoria Coren Mitchell

Victoria Coren Mitchell faced off against Ilan Boujenah on the flop of a board reading {8-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

All the chips went in the middle and with Coren Mitchell turning over the drawing hand {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Boujenah showing {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} he started to call for the rest of the cards to brick out. They did as the turn {5-Spades} and river {7-Diamonds} saw Boujenah celebrate and Coren Mitchell wish the table luck.

Boujenah explained his actions to his neighbour saying she beat him once heads-up and knocked him out on the bubble of the High Roller in Deauville. “I just wanted revenge.” was his reasoning.

Jokes and Bets With Tann Vs Kyriakides

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

The most talkative table in the tournament at the moment is the one involving Willie Tann, Miltiadis Kyriakides and Fatima Moreira de Melo. A running joke involving passing around a packet of nuts has been keeping them occupied until a big hand broke out between Tann and Kyriakides.

Tann opened for 3,000 and Kyriakides, sat to his immediate left, made the call prompting a chuckle from Tann. “You nutters, I’m out of here.” said de Melo, but the big blind made the call. The flop was {3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Tann bet 4,000. Kyriakides made the call which led to chuckles from the table as they watched the dynamic play out, but the big blind was having no more of it and mucked his hand.

The turn card was the {2-Hearts} and Tann continued, betting 10,000. Once more Kyriakides called and with him calling for a jack on the river and Tann yelling for a black card the final {6-Diamonds} appeared.

Tann then started probing Kyriakides on what he wanted him to do but he claimed not to care as, “Now I have a hand.” “I’ve got a better hand than you. “ was Tann’s response.

Tann cut out chips from each of his stacks announcing, “Rainbow bet, every colour.” and it amounted to 54,000. “I have queens.” Kyriakides told him. “Queen of hearts?” Tann asked but Kyriakides shook his head and finally mucked in disgust saying, “I know what you have. Ace-jack of hearts.” Tann never showed.

Tann opened the next pot for 3,600 and Kyriakides immediately threw out a raise of 8,000. Back around to Tann it went who began, “You have position on me. Position is important.” “It used to be.” Said Kyriakides and Tann shot back, “Position is still important in sex.”

“What was that?” de Melo wanted to know. Tann mucked his hand and repeated it for the demure Dutch player.

Boeree Hits 300k

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Liv Boeree
Liv Boeree

In a battle of the blinds, Nurlan Boobekov and Liv Boeree each commit 15,000 before the flop in unknown action. The dealer fanned a flop of {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Boobekov checked over to Boeree who tapped the table back.

Fourth street was the {9-Hearts} and Boobekov took this opportunity to fire 16,100. Boeree thought for about a minute before flat-calling to see the river. The {5-Hearts} paired the board on fifth street and Boobekov slowed with a check. Boeree reached for chips, dropping 35,000 into the center of the table.

This bet sent Boobekov deep into the tank as he pondered action facing this significant bet. Just around five minutes passed while Boobekov sat riffling chips. Ultimately, he slid his cards into the muck and Boeree was pushed yet another sizable pot. The Team PokerStars Pro has extended her chip lead and now sits on 300,000.

Jensen Wins Big Pot From Caza

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Jorma Nuutinen was all in preflop for 22,200 with Odd-Erlend Jensen and Marco Caza both calling.

Jensen fired out 22,000 on the {4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop which Caza called before both checked the {7-Diamonds} turn. Jensen also checked the {10-Diamonds} river and Caza bet 35,000.

"Oh f**king hell," said an exasperated Jensen, "you've got tens...do you have tens?"

"I don't know what I've got but you've got nothing," replied Caza.

"Nice hand fish," answered Jensen, "only someone with a big hand says something like that. I had you beat until the river, I think."

Jensen finally made a crying call and Caza showed {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, Jensen fist-pumped as he tabled {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} to win the pot as Nuutinen could beat either hand.
