Guillaume Darcourt Eliminated in 19th Place (€22,160)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Guillaume Darcourt - 19th place
Guillaume Darcourt - 19th place

In two hands Guillaume Darcourt just lost all of his chips to Benjamin Buhr.

In the first one it was Buhr who opened for 32,000 under the gun plus one. Olivier Piechaczyk made the call, and so did Guillaume Darcourt in the small blind.

Buhr made a 49,000 c-bet on {8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Piechaczyk and Darcourt made the call. Darcourt checked again on the {5-Hearts} turn and Buhr bet 103,000. Piechaczyk now folded, Darcourt called once more.

The {K-Diamonds} fell on the river and Darcourt checked a third time. Buhr bet 175,000 and Darcourt called. Bugh showed {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} and Darcourt mucked.

Two hands later Darcourt open shoved his last 201,000 in from the cut off. Action folded to Buhr in the big blind and he called with {A-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Darcourt had {9-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and wouldn't hit: {Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades}{J-Spades}{2-Clubs}.

Evangelos Tsairis Eliminated in 18th Place (€22,160)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Evangelos Tsairis - 18th Place
Evangelos Tsairis - 18th Place

Georgios Kapalas opened to 33,000 from early position and it folded over to Joseph Carlino in the hijack. He three-bet the action to 90,000 only to have Evangelos Tsairis put out a four-bet from the button. Kapalas folded and Carlino wasted no time five-betting all in. Suddenly the pressure was put back on Tsairis who was put to the decision for his last 718,000. Tsairis spent about two minutes in the tank before announcing a call for his own tournament life.

Tsairis: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Carlino: {K-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Carlino was in a dominating position and stayed that way through a flop of {2-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. Tsairis picked up some additional outs with the {Q-Spades} on the river, but ultimately nothing materialized with the {3-Clubs} on the river. Carlino took down the pot and assumed the role of table chip leader with 2.46 million.

Kings Go Down

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Carlo Savinelli opened for 32,000 under the gun and Julien Duveau on the button made the call. Ognyan Dimov in the small blind squeezed to 115,000 and Savinelli four bet to 200,000. Duveau folded, Dimov called.

Both players checked the {6-Spades}{7-Clubs}{J-Spades} flop and {6-Clubs} turn. Dimov checked again once the {J-Diamonds} hit the river. Savinelli now bet 325,000 and Dimov made the call.

Savinelli showed his {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} and Dimov flashed kings before mucking.

Kapalas Miss Steps, Cohen Makes a Good Call

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Massou Cohen opened to 36,000 under the gun and Georgios Kapalas three bet to 82,000 from the hijack. Cohen made the call and both players checked the {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop.

The {Q-Clubs} fell on the turn and Cohen checked. Kapalas now bet 75,000 and Cohen quickly called.

The {5-Clubs} completed the board and Cohen checked a third time. With 350,000 in the pot Cohen had just 220,000 behind. Kapalas bombed all in and Cohen snap called.

None of the two had a club, Kapalas showed {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Cohen proudly tabled {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}.

Carlo Savinelli
Carlo Savinelli

Carlo Savinelli raised to 32,000 from middle position and it folded over to Julien Duveau on the button. Duveau three-bet to 80,000, the blinds folded, and Savinelli called to see a flop.

The dealer fanned {3-Spades}{9-Spades}{J-Hearts} and both players checked to see the boar pair on the turn with the {9-Clubs}. Savinelli fired 125,000 and Duveau stuck around.

The {3-Clubs} put two pair on the board on the river and Savinelli cut out a bet of 400,000. Duveau instantly called only to see Savinelli roll over {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for quad nines. He was awarded the pot and now has about 2.19 million to his name.

Joseph Carlino
Joseph Carlino

Benjamin Pollak opened with a raise to 45,000 from under the gun and Joseph Carlino three-bet to 125,000 from the button. The flop came down {Q-Spades}{3-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and Pollak check-called a continuation bet of 150,000.

Fourth street brought a third queen to the board with the {Q-Clubs} and both players checked. The {5-Clubs} hit the river and Pollak checked for a third time. Carlino did the same and showed {A-Spades}{K-Spades} for a winning ace-king high.

The river was the {9-Spades} and Parlafes continued his aggression with a bet of 145,000. Kapalas reached for chips and spent a few minutes in the tank before dropping out a call. Parlafes showed {J-Spades}{3-Spades} for a spade flush and was awarded the pot.

David Van den Berg Eliminated in 17th Place (€25,010)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
David Van Den Berg
David Van Den Berg

Andrius Bielskis opened to 40,000 under the gun and next door neighbor Benjamin Buhr made the call. David van den Berg in the big blind came along for the ride and the three of them saw a flop.

{4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Van den Berg lead out for 35,000 and Bielskis raised to 78,000. Buhr now three bet to 183,000 and action was back on Van den Berg. The Dutchman shoved all in for 720,000 without hesitating too much.

Bielskis let out a big sigh. He wasn't happy and it showed. Van den Berg sipped on his beer in the mean time, not looking too worried. After about a minute of thinking Bielskis let it go. Buhr instantly called as soon as Bielskis' cards hit the muck.

Van den Berg: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Buhr: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

Buhr got up from the table in full excitement, Van den Berg took another sip and just waited calmly. The {10-Spades} on the turn was a brick and so was the {3-Diamonds} on the river. Van den Berg shook hands with Buhr and made his way to the payout desk.
