Mameche Busts Chuttani Set Over Set

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Slimane Mameche
Slimane Mameche

Sahil Chuttani raised to 100,000 in early position before Slimane Mameche moved all in from the cutoff. Chuttani had around 80,000 remaining and slid it into the middle.

Sahil Chuttani: 99
Slimane Mameche: JJ

Mameche had Chuttani dominated with his jacks as the QKJ flop gave him a set, while Chuttani picked up a straight draw. The 9 turn also gave Chuttani a set, but it wasn't enough to avoid elimination after the A completed the board.

"One minute. Let me take a picture," Mameche said to the dealer as he snapped a photo of the board.

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Alex Keating
Alex Keating

Johannes Verhagen raised to 27,000 in middle position and Terry Vlastos called on the button. Alex Keating then moved all in for 69,000 in the small blind, Verhagen reshoved, and Vlastos folded.

Alex Keating: KJ
Johannes Verhagen: JJ

The 7832 board left Keating needing only one of the three remaining kings in the deck to avoid elimination, and he found one as the dealer turned over the K on the river.

"Yes! Sorry," Keating yelled out as he apologized to Verhagen.

"Don't write that down. I'm embarrassed," Keating added.

Perez Times Out In Huge Pot

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Francisco Perez
Francisco Perez

PokerNews caught the action as the flop read 749 with approximately 300,000 in the middle.

Panagiotis Mavritsakis, in the hijack, had a wager of 110,000 out in front of him. Francisco Perez, in the cutoff, made the call.

The A turn slowed down Mavritsakis. Perez took the lead with a very small bet of 60,000 and Mavritsakis check-raised to 160,000. Perez called.

The river landed the 7 and Mavritsakis emptied the clip, moving all in and putting Perez to the test for his remaining 340,000. Perez, who had no time banks left, watched the clock in indecision as his countdown eventually hit zero. His hand was declared dead and Mavritsakis claimed this pot without a showdown.

Hammouchi Succeeds With Lipp Reading For Big Double

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Matthias Lipp raised to 25,000 with K10 and Younes Hammouchi called with the Q10 to then take the lead on the Q96 flop. Hammouchi check-called for 35,000 and did so again for 80,000 on the 8 turn.

The 4 river failed to improve Lipp but he was not done yet with the hand once Hammouchi checked. Lipp opted to move all-in for 354,000 effective.

Hammouchi used two time bank extensions and then called with five seconds remaining by flicking in a single chip to score a double.

Eliot Hudon
Eliot Hudon

Action folded around to the blinds, where Eliot Hudon raised to 30,000 from the small blind and Andreia-Elena Coman shoved from the big blind, which was enough to put Hudon all in for 307,000 total. Hudon committed the rest of his stack into the middle and hands were revealed.

Eliot Hudon: AA
Andreia-Elena Coman: AK

It was the best-case scenario for Hudon, and the J2873 runout provided Hudon with a sweat-free double-up.

Arduini Cracks Kings In Huge Three-Way All In

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Lorenzo Arduini
Lorenzo Arduini

Mallory Frere open jammed for 171,000 from early position, Peter Jaksland called in the cutoff and Lorenzo Arduini moved all in for 628,000 from the small blind. Jaksland made the call for a huge proportion of his stack.

Mallory Frere: A10
Lorenzo Arduini: AK
Peter Jaksland: KK

The Q3J flop brought both Frere and Arduini a straight draw, but it was the 10 turn that gave Arduini Broadway. The 3 river ensured Frere's departure as well as leaving Jaksland short.

Christos Argyriadis

Eliot Hudon raised to 25,000 under the gun before Dimitar Danchev three-bet to 75,000 in middle position. Christos Argyriadis then moved all in for 263,000 on the button and Byron Kaverman asked for a count and tanked for a few moments before calling in the small blind. Hudon and Danchev both folded.

Christos Argyriadis: AQ
Byron Kaverman: KK

Kaverman had picked up kings and was a favorite to score the knockout as the board came 576Q5. Argyriadis couldn't improve beyond his turned pair of queens and was sent to the rail, while Kaverman, who needed to spike a three-outer to double up earlier in this level, moved up past 1,000,000.

Picone and Lewis Clash in Big Pot

Level 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Igor Picone
Igor Picone

Romain Lewis made it 25,000 to go with the AQ from an early position and Igor Picone three-bet big to 90,000 out of the small blind with QJ. It folded back to Lewis, who pondered about it for a short while and called.

Picone made the top two pair on the QJ9 flop and continued for 60,000, Lewis called. The 2 turn was checked by Picone and Lewis bet 100,000 to now send Picone into the think tank. One time bank later, the Belgian jammed for 291,000 and Lewis shrugged before calling.

The 4 river was a blank and Lewis saw his stack reduced to fumes.
