Fournier Takes The Lead
Level 33
: Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Aleksandr Razinkov opened from the button to 550,000. Samuel Fournier defended the big blind.
Fournier check-called a bet of 325,000 on the flop of K♣Q♦2♦. He check-called another bet on the 7♠ turn, this time for 1,200,000.
The 8♣ saw another check from Fournier, and another sizable bet from Razinkov, this time for 3,500,000. Fournier went deep into the tank — so deep the blind level increased and an "all in and call" had been announced at the adjacent table.
"It's a chiplead pot if I call and I'm right," said Fournier. After almost ten minutes of thought, Fournier called and Raznikov snap-mucked.
"Yes!" exclaimed the Frenchman as he raked in a huge pot.
