Dinner Break

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The remaining 19 players are going on a 60-minute dinner break and are due back at the table at approximately 7:15 p.m. local time. Late registration will remain open throughout the break and will close once the cards go back in the air.

Pre Dinner Action Sends Watson Packing

Kayhan Mokri lost a bigger portion of his stack while Felipe Ketzer chipped up. He then opened to 8,000 and Joao Vieira three-bet to 26,000. Tom Orpaz four-bet to 60,000 and both opponents folded.

On the same table, Sam Grafton had doubled with {q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} versus {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} when he came from behind on the {q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} runout.

One more all-in showdown took place in which Mike Watson had flopped top pair with the {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} on {q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. He was pipped by Chris Brewer and his {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}, and the kicker played on the {6-Spades} turn and {4-Spades} river.

Last but not least, Ren Lin tangled with Jean-Noel Thorel in a three-bet pot and bet the {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop for 30,000 out of the small blind, Thorel called on the button. The quick shove by Lin on the {3-Hearts} turn forced a swift fold.

Watson won't be back after the dinner break after he already exhausted the allowed two entries in the tournament.

Lin Picks a Bad Time to Challenge Mattsson

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Ren Lin raised it up in early position and Simon Mattsson three-bet shoved all in for 85,000 in the big blind. Lin wasted little time before making the call and the cards were tabled.

Simon Mattsson: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Ren Lin: {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {j-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Mattsson's pair of tens were enough to double through Lin.

Dvoress Strikes Against Davies

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Daniel Dvoress
Daniel Dvoress

Rui Neves Ferreira raised it up from under the gun and was called by Seth Davies on the button and Daniel Dvoress in the small blind. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Ferreira continued with a bet of 20,000. Davies called and Dvoress check-raised to 60,000. Ferreira got out of the way but Davies still called.

The {3-Diamonds} rolled off on the turn and Dvoress tossed in another bet of 45,000. Davies called once again and the {j-Diamonds} on the river put four diamonds on the board. Dvoress reached back for a bet of 151,000 and Davies dipped into the tank. After nearly two minutes, Davies finally released his cards and Dvoress collected the pot.

Brewer Binks One-Outer to Eliminate Marques

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Andre Marques
Andre Marques

Chris Brewer raised to 8,000 and was called by Ben Heath in the small blind. Andre Marques then pushed all-in for 119,500 in the big blind and Brewer called with the superior stack, while Heath quickly got out of the way.

Andre Marques: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Chris Brewer: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop shifted the momentum very suddenly as Brewer only had a single out or running cards to a potential chop. Nothing changed on the {5-Spades} turn but the {q-Spades} river provided the case queen to knock out Marques in spectacular fashion.

Quick Exit for Thanarattrakul

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Soon after entering the field, Thailand's Kannapong Thanarattrakul lost a big portion of his stack. He was then all-in for 24,000 and won the blinds and big blind ante.

The next open-shove by Thanarattrakul was for 34,000 from under the gun and Sam Greenwood in the small blind checked for the stack of Ben Heath in the big blind, then jammed with a slightly bigger stack to force out Heath.

Kannapong Thanarattrakul: {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Sam Greenwood: {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Both players picked up a straight draw on the {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop but the ace was enough for Greenwood on the {q-Hearts} turn and {4-Diamonds} river runout.

Astedt Cannot Shake Off Lin; Watson Catches Thorel Bluffing

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

In a single-raised pot to the {7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop, Niklas Astedt check-raised from 7,000 to 20,000 out of the big blind. Ren Lin as the preflop aggressor called and Astedt then checked the {6-Clubs} on the turn. Lin bet 41,000 and that won the pot.

"Seven no good?" the Swede inquired and Lin shook his head.

Soon after at the same table, Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 8,000 and Mike Watson called. Thorel check-called a bet worth 7,000 on the {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop before both checked the {j-Diamonds} turn. Thorel led the {4-Clubs} river for 20,000 and Watson called, getting shown {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for a bluff, which he had beat holding {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.
