A Few Small Pots at a Glance

Level 22 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Andre Marques opened to 120,000 from under the gun and then faced a three-bet to 280,000 by Pablo Navarro. He inquired about the stack size of his opponent and used one time bank extension before folding.

Marques defended the big blind against an under-the-gun raise by Mauricio Ferreira Pais and the {q-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop went check, check. Marques bet the {2-Clubs} turn for 170,000 and won the pot uncontested.

Kayhan Mokri min-raised next for Ferreira Pais to come along out of the big blind. That produced a {j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop on which Ferreira Pais check-folded to a continuation bet.

Garagnani Doubles Through Mokri

Level 22 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Pedro Garagnani jammed for the last 305,000 from an early position and was called by Kayhan Mokri in the big blind.

Pedro Garagnani: {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Kayhan Mokri: {k-Hearts}{4-Spades}

Neither player connected with the {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts} board and Garagnani doubled to stay in contention. He then also got another open-shove through to chip up further.

Orpaz Pays Off Lin

Level 22 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Ren Lin raised to 150,000 in early position and Tom Orpaz defended from the big blind. The flop came {k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Orpaz check-called a bet of 125,000 from Lin.

The turn brought the {8-Diamonds} and Orpaz checked blind for the second street in a row. Lin fired out a bet of 250,000 and Orpaz called to see the {2-Spades} on the river.

Orpaz checked for the third time and Lin moved all in for 695,000 without saying anything for the first time all day. Orpaz leaned back in his chair before sliding out the chips to call.

"I'm a fish, I call," Orpaz announced.

"I know," was Lin's response as he got a laugh from the table. Lin tabled {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a flush while Orpaz could only muster two pair with {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}.

Marques Goes Back to the Same Well

Level 22 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Tom Orpaz "misclicked" with a limp from under the gun and Ren Lin raised it up in middle position. Andre Marques shoved all in for 610,000 on the button which got Orpaz to fold but Lin quickly called.

Andre Marques: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Ren Lin: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

The board ran out {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Marques doubled up with hardly any sweat.

Marques Doubles Through Lin

Level 22 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

It folded all the way to Ren Lin on the button and he raised to 500,000, which covered both shorter stacks in the blinds. Pedro Garagnani folded but Marques called all-in to set up the following showdown.

Andre Marques: {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Ren Lin: {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}

The superior hand remained ahead all the way on the {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} runout and Marques doubled.

Tom Orpaz then min-raised to 120,000 and Mauricio Ferreira Pais came along in the big blind. They checked the {9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop and the German led the {8-Hearts} turn for 140,000. By then, Orpaz was involved in very jovial table chatter with Kayhan Mokri, seemingly not paying attention to what was happening.

"It's part of my hand, I don't care but actually do ... and then don't ..." before he sigh-folded, getting shown the {10-Hearts} by Ferreira Pais.

Level 21 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Pedro Garagnani opened to 110,000 from under the gun and Tom Orpaz three-bet to 325,000 on the button. Garagnani called and the dealer spread the flop of {8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

Garagnani checked to Orpaz who continued with a bet of 250,000. Garagnani check-raised all in and Orpaz instantly called off his stack of 1,515,000.

Tom Orpaz: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Pedro Garagnani: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

The {a-Hearts} and {a-Spades} on the turn and river secured another double up for Orpaz who vaulted into the chip lead.

Nikita Kuznetsov Eliminated in 8th Place (€17,250)

Level 21 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Nikita Kuznetsov
Nikita Kuznetsov

The action folded around to Nikita Kuznetsov in the small blind who shoved all in for around 500,000. Kayhan Mokri eyed up his opponent's stack before calling from the big blind.

Nikita Kuznetsov: {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Kayhan Mokri: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}

The flop fell {10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Mokri's pocket fours were still in the lead. Kuznetsov was unable to find any help on the {3-Hearts} and {7-Spades} runout, heading to the rail in eighth place.

A Chop and a Double

Level 21 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Ren Lin opened to 110,000 and Pedro Garagnani three-bet to 335,000 from the next seat in the hijack. Pablo Navarro then jammed for 1,290,000 and Lin folded, while Garagnani called a couple seconds after getting an exact count.

Pablo Navarro: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Pedro Garagnani: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop gave both players back door flush draws but it was Garagnani who freerolled the {9-Clubs} turn.

"Don't do it!" Navarro joked and the {7-Diamonds} river was a blank for them to chop.

"I had pocket jacks," Lin exclaimed in table chat.

One hand later, Kayhan Mokri raised to 100,000 from under the gun and called the three-bet shove by Tom Orpaz for 870,000.

Tom Orpaz: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Kayhan Mokri: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

It was a classic flip and Orpaz got there thanks to the {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} board. "Plays itself," he shrugged and scored the double, cutting Mokri's stack in half.
