Guilbert Eliminated on the Bubble

Level 19 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Johan Guilbert
Johan Guilbert

Johan Guilbert defended the big blind against a raise by chip leader Seri Reixach and check-called a bet on the {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{2-Spades} flop. He had some 255,000 behind to the {8-Diamonds} turn and got those in for Reixach to call with the far superior stack.

Johan Guilbert: {j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Sergi Reixach: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The French poker pro had plenty of outs with his live cards and flush draw but the {10-Spades} river was not among them to let the money bubble burst.

As of now, all remaining 11 contenders will also receive a special bounty ticket that can be redeemed by the player who scores the knockout from now on.

Reixach Chips Up; De Souza Doubles

Level 18 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Belarmino De Souza
Belarmino De Souza

Timothy Adams raised to 55,000 on the button and then called the all-in of Belarmino De Souza for 85,000 in the small blind.

They had to wait for the other table to complete their hand in which a battle of the blinds led to a pot worth 175,000 to the {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs} river. Sergi Reixach overbet for 275,000 and Rodrigo Selouan tank-called to then muck when shown {10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}.

Back to the other table, the cards were turned over.

Belarmino De Souza: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Timothy Adams: {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The {j-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{a-Spades}{q-Clubs} board kept De Souza in contention as he nearly tripled up his stack.

Guilbert Doubles on the Bubble

Level 18 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Johan Guilbert
Johan Guilbert

Steve O'Dwyer pushed all-in from the small blind and Johan Guilbert as the shortest stack on their table called for 170,000, having invested 25,000 for the big blind ante already.

Johan Guilbert: {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Steve O'Dwyer: {q-Hearts}{4-Spades}

The {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop reduced the outs of O'Dwyer as Guilbert held the flush draw. Nothing changed with the {8-Diamonds} turn and the {j-Clubs} river improved Guilbert to the flush, securing his double on the bubble.

De Souza Chips Down; Selouan Chips Up

Level 18 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Belarmino De Souza limped the small blind and then called a raise to 55,000 by Jean-Noel Thorel in the big blind. On the {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop, De Souza checked and Thorel moved all-in to force a fold from the Brazilian.

One table over, Imad Derwiche raised to 50,000 in the cutoff and Rodrigo Selouan came along in the big blind. The {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop was check-called by Selouan for 55,000 and the {3-Diamonds} turn went check, check. On the {10-Hearts} river, Selouan checked and tossed in a single chip when Derwiche bet small once more.

Derwiche revealed the {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}, which Selouan had beat with the {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for a pair of sixes.

Unscheduled Break On the Bubble

Level 18 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Due to technical issues with the tournament clock, all events have been sent into an unscheduled 20-minute break. As far as the €10,200 Mystery Bounty event is concerned, this resulted in a break right on the money bubble with 24 minutes left in the level. The action will continue with hand-for-hand mode when the final 12 are back in their seats.

Fast Falls to Reixach

Dietrich Fast

Dietrich Fast shoved from under the gun for 180,000 for Sergi Reixach to three-bet jam for way more. The rest of the table snap-folded for the cards to go on their backs.

Dietrich Fast: {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Sergi Reixach: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{k-Spades} for Reixach to leave Fast drawing dead on the turn as he improved his flopped set to a full house.

De Souza Folds to Thorel

Level 18 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Belarmino De Souza min-raised to 40,000 just before the blinds went up and Jean-Noel Thorel then three-bet to 100,000 from one seat over. Imad Derwiche and Boris Kolev in the blinds both folded and De Souza used two time banks before folding the {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} face-up.

Derwiche's {k-Clubs}{q-Spades} and the {j-Spades}{3-Clubs} of Kolev were exposed while Thorel mucked his cards and collected the chips.
