De Souza Chips Down; Selouan Chips Up

Level 18 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Belarmino De Souza limped the small blind and then called a raise to 55,000 by Jean-Noel Thorel in the big blind. On the {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop, De Souza checked and Thorel moved all-in to force a fold from the Brazilian.

One table over, Imad Derwiche raised to 50,000 in the cutoff and Rodrigo Selouan came along in the big blind. The {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop was check-called by Selouan for 55,000 and the {3-Diamonds} turn went check, check. On the {10-Hearts} river, Selouan checked and tossed in a single chip when Derwiche bet small once more.

Derwiche revealed the {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}, which Selouan had beat with the {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds} for a pair of sixes.
