Showdown Pot for Kisacikoglu Versus Adams

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Picking up the action on the {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades} turn, Timothy Adams and Orpen Kisacikoglu both invested 7,500 in chips. The {8-Clubs} fell on the river and Adams bet 6,500. "That makes it easier," Kisacikoglu said somewhat relieved and quickly called.

Adams rolled over the {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for sevens and fives, which Kisacikoglu had beat holding the {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

Thorel Doubles, Then Busts

Level 7 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Jean-Noel Thorel
Jean-Noel Thorel

Jean-Noel Thorel was down to just 14,000 chips and got them all in with {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. He was up against Orpen Kisacikoglu with {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and they were off to the flop. The board ran out {7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Thorel spiked a ten on the river to double up.

A couple of hands later, Thorel was all in again for around 35,000 and found himself up against Kisacikoglu once again.

Jean-Noel Thorel: {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Orpen Kisacikoglu: {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

The flop came {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Thorel hit an eight on the flop to take the lead. The {3-Spades} on the turn changed nothing but it was the {10-Clubs} on the river that sent Thorel to the rail.

Ill-Timed Move by Thorel Doubles Kulev

Level 6 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

It remains unclear what the exact action was in a battle of the blinds as Jean-Noel Thorel had a squeeze to 27,000 out in front and then somehow pushed over the top against Alex Kulev, who happily called all-in to set up the following showdown.

Alex Kulev: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Jean-Noel Thorel: {k-Hearts}{4-Spades}

The board ran out {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{9-Spades}{10-Spades} and Kulev held the superior flush to double for 126,500.

O'Dwyer Enters and Doubles

Level 6 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Steve O'Dwyer

Adrian Mateos raised to 4,500 and Juan Pardo three-bet to 13,500 from one seat over. Steve O'Dwyer on the button then jammed for 100,000 soon after entering and Mateos reraised to 200,000. Pardo folded and flashed the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} face-up.

Adrian Mateos: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The overcards failed to get there on the {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and O'Dwyer doubled right away. "I also folded ace-king," Timothy Adams in the small blind joked.

Mateos Doubles Through Greenwood

Level 6 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Sam Greenwood raised to 5,000 on the button and Adrian Mateos three-bet to 19,000 in the small blind. Greenwood responded with a four-bet shove all in and Mateos instantly called off his stack of 143,500.

Adrian Mateos: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Sam Greenwood: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Both players woke up with premium hands with each table playing four-handed. The flop of {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{5-Hearts} gave Greenwood some added outs but the {j-Diamonds}, {5-Spades} runout was no help and Mateos doubled up.

Thorel Gets Two from Kisacikoglu

Level 5 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Orpen Kisacikoglu opened to 4,500 from under the gun and Jean-Noel Thorel re-raised to 9,000 on the button. Kisacikoglu called and the flop fell {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}. Kisacikoglu checked to Thorel who bet 15,000 and Kisacikoglu gave it some thought but decided to fold.

On the next hand, Thorel raised to 4,000 and Kisacikoglu called from the big blind. The flop came {8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and both players checked to the {4-Diamonds} on the turn.

Kisacikoglu led out with a bet of 5,500 and Thorel called to see the {a-Diamonds} on the river. Kisacikoglu checked this time and Thorel bet 5,500. Kisacikoglu check-raised to 23,500 and Thorel responded with a re-raise to 43,500. Kisacikoglu got caught and was forced to send his cards to the muck.

Heath Has the Better Ace-High

Level 5 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Ben Heath raised to 4,500 in the cutoff and was called by Jean-Noel Thorel and Alex Kulev in the blinds. The flop came {j-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and the action checked to Heath who bet 3,000. Thorel called and Kulev got out of the way.

The turn brought the {4-Spades} and both players checked through to the {k-Diamonds} on the river. Two more checks and Thorel showed {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} but Heath held {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for the better kicker to win the pot.
