Silver Doubles Through Tang

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Max Silver opened to 195,000 leaving himself under 50,000 behind. Danny Tang then moved all in, putting Silver to the test.

Glancing up at the tournament screen, Silver appeared to sigh before asking for a count.

"The choices I have made to get myself into this position," he said. "I wonder if I can get a payjump."

Eventually he called.

Max Silver: {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Danny Tang: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

There was a seven in the window of a {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs} run out and despite calling for a five for a chop on the river, Silver doubled up.

"What is this bull shit that's going on today?" asked Niall Farrell. "I'm the only one not to double?"

"What goes around comes around," replied Tang.

"Yeah," said tablemate Michael Addamo. "That's just a lie they tell you..."

Paiva had flopped the nut straight and Van Putten was drawing exceedingly thin. The {2-Spades}{q-Diamonds} runout was not what he needed and Paiva doubled up.
