They're still counting out chips from the last hand before the break on Nicolas Levi's table. He was down to 246,000 when the hand started, but things couldn't have gone much better for the French pro when he raised on the button. Jerome Zerbib moved all in from the small blind, and tournament chip leader Kevin Eyster overshoved from the big blind, and it wasn't exactly a tough call for Levi.
Showdown
Zerbib: (covered by both)
Levi: (covered by Eyster)
Eyster:
The flop looked mighty good to Levi. And he was a lock to triple up after the on the turn. The river was the meaningless . Zerbib won't need to come back after the break, and Levi's now got 618,000 to return to - not good news for the rest of his table.
After making what was, to quote his own term, an "unconventional" play, Neil Channing found himself down to just 60,000.
So it was that the gentleman under the gun raised with and Channing pushed with . The under-the-gun raiser called, and promptly spiked a jack on the turn to send Channing to the rail, or more likely, to the six-max event.
Thiago Nishijima shoved under the gun for his last 65,000 and got called by Claudiu Saizu to his immediate left. It was an easy double up for the Day 2 starting chip leader.
Craig McCorkell raised to 17,000 in the cutoff and Olivier Daeninckx (amazingly, not a typo) made it 42,000 from the small blind.. McCorkell thought about it for a little while, and then he called.
The flop came down and Daeninckx bet out 54,000, his hand shaking a little. Again, McCorkell called.
Daeninckx opted to check the turn and now McCorkell announced all in to cover him. Daeninckx stared at him ling and hard, and eventually folded to leave himself on 240,000.
David Peters raised from the button and was not in the slightest bit put off by the reraise from [Removed:413] in the small blind. Peters shoved, and once Pautrot had folded he raked in the pot.
In the three consecutive hands prior to this one, Oleksander Vaserfirer had moved all in. This one was no different. He was in the cutoff, Pierre Neuville was on the button, and the chips went in the middle. First Vaserfirer's then Neuville's.
Vaserfirer:
Neuville:
Board:
And with that, 153,000 worth of Neuville's chips were sent in the direction of Vaserfirer.
Sami "LarsLusak" Kelopuro lost a little ground at the start of the day but now he's starting to build it back up.
Anthony Gutti raised preflop to 18,500 and Kelopuro called from the cutoff.
Gutti fired out 28,000 on the flop and Kelopuro threw in a call.
The came on the turn, making both straight and flush, Gutti checked and Kelopuro quickly fired out 44,500 getting an instant fold from the original raiser.
Wasn't a good few minutes for the Internet jet set. EPT Berlin winner Kevin "I'maLuckSac" MacPhee and Greg "FunkiMunki" Dyer have both logged out. Matt "Ch0ppy" Kay and Owen "OCrowe" Crowe are also casualties of this level.
