Graeme "Kiwi G" Putt Eliminated

Graeme "Kiwi G" Putt Eliminated
Graeme "Kiwi G" Putt Eliminated
Graeme "Kiwi G" Putt shoved all in before the flop with his short stack and Tom Dwan made the call.

Putt: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Dwan: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

The flop came {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and Putt had flopped a set to aces as well as the jack-high flush draw. However Dwan still had outs with the king-high flush draw and was praying for another diamond. The turn delivered with the {2-Diamonds} giving Dwan the flush to reclaim the lead. Putt had a redraw to a full house and was looking for the board to pair, but the blank {7-Clubs} on the river sent him to the rail.

Sexton Eliminates Two; Soars to 125,000!

Mike Sexton just took down the biggest pot of the tournament, eliminating both Richard Ashby and Warwick Mirzikinian from the tournament in the same hand.

The hand began with a 6,900 pre-flop raise made by Ashby, which was called by both Mirzikinian and Sexton.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Sexton, first to act, bet the pot, putting both Ashby and Mirzikinian all in. Ashby made the call first and Mirzikinian followed suit:

Sexton: {7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Ashby: {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{A-Spades}
Mirzikinian: {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The {6-Spades} that fell on the turn was a beautiful card for Sexton as it gave him a ten-high straight, killing Ashby's chances to win the pot and lessening Mirzikinian's outs to one of the three remaining tens in the deck. Sexton locked up the hand when the {8-Diamonds} came on the river, stacking both Ashby and Mirzikinian, while increasing his own net worth to just over 125,000 in chips.

Sexton is now the clear chip leader and currently the only player in the tournament with over 100,000 in chips.

Stort stacks Tino Lechich and Lee Watkinson have just collided in a "make or break" hand out on table 32:

Lechich: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Watkinson: {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{A-Clubs}

The board ran out {4-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. Lechich picked up flush outs on the flop but Watkinson made a full house on the river to eliminate Lechich.

Jani Vilmunen Eliminated

Mark Kassis held 7-7-3-4 against Jani Vilmunen's Q-9-7-8 with the money all in and the board showing {Q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}. In a huge 60,000 chip pot, Kassis yells "One time!" as the {J-Clubs} is dealt on the river, and Kassis's set of sevens is good to take down the pot, eliminating Vilmunen in 18th place.
