Watkinson Doubles Through Pescatori

All-time WSOP Omaha Money Winner Lee Watkinson
All-time WSOP Omaha Money Winner Lee Watkinson
Lenny Barshack opened with a min-raise from early position and Max Pescatori made the call. Action then folded around to Lee Watkinson on the button who bet the pot, making it an additional 9,000 to go.

Action then returned to Barshack who considered his decision long and hard before making the call, leaving him with just 4,000 behind. Pescatori also made the call and the action was three-way to the flop.

Flop: {Q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Barshack passed the first action to the 'Italian Pirate,' who opened with a 20,000 bet, putting both of his opponents to a decision for all of their chips. Watkinson made the call rather quickly and Barshack opted to fold, saving his last 4,000 worth of chips for another hand.

At the showdown, the players revealed:

Pescatori: {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Watkinson: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}

The turn and river filled out {5-Diamonds}, {10-Spades} and Watkinson took down the pot (~70,000) with two pair, aces and tens.

Durrrr Doubles

Four players limped in to see a flop of {4-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{8-Spades}.

Lenny Barshack opened the betting on the flop with a 3,500 bet. Tom "Durrrr" Dwan then raises another 6,700. Barshack then announces "re-raise" as the pot is cut down, before he pots it for another 25,200. Dwan instantly announces he is all in. His stack is cut down and he only has another 700 chips, so Barshack makes a reluctant but obvious call saying "I have nothing".

Barshack: {Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Dwan: {A-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades}

The turn comes {3-Clubs} and river {3-Spades} and Dwan makes a full house to take down a huge pot as he doubles up!

Mike v.s. Mike

Mike Sexton
Mike Sexton
Michael "Sticky" Guttman just took a huge pot away from Mike Sexton in a pre-flop all in confrontation of monstrous proportions. Four players, including the small blind, limped into the pot before the action got around to Michael "Sticky" Guttman in the big blind, who bet the pot, making it an additional 6,000 chips to go. Tom "Durrrr" Dwan made the call and when the action returned to Sexton, he re-raised the size of the pot, kicking it up another 24,000.

Action then folded back around to Guttman who opted to shove all in on the strength of {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. Tom Dwan got out of the way and Sexton made the call with {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{J-Diamonds}.

The flop came {2-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} giving Sexton top set, but it also gave Guttman a royal straight flush draw. The {Q-Spades} on the turn gave Guttman one additional out to make quads on the river to stay alive, but it was the flush draw that came through for Sexton when the {6-Diamonds} hit on the river.

Guttman stacked up just over 60,000 in chips after the hand while Sexton dropped to approximately 42,000.

Max Gets Busy

Max Pescatori may be starting to open up his game a little bit as he has just taken down back-to-back pots.

He collected a small pot against Tom Dwan when the board read {8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Spades} Pescatori fired out a 5,000 bet on the river. Dwan went into the tank and muttered to himself "I'm so bad...!" before tossing away his cards.

Acclimating to Australia

We just watched Tom "Durrrr" Dwan order a drink from one of the cocktail servers here at the crown. He stood up out of his chair, reached into his pocket to pull out some coinage to pay, handed an unknown denomination of currency to the server and asked, "What is that worth?"
