Sexton Eliminates Two; Soars to 125,000!
The hand began with a 6,900 pre-flop raise made by Ashby, which was called by both Mirzikinian and Sexton.
The flop came and Sexton, first to act, bet the pot, putting both Ashby and Mirzikinian all in. Ashby made the call first and Mirzikinian followed suit:
Sexton:
Ashby:
Mirzikinian:
The that fell on the turn was a beautiful card for Sexton as it gave him a ten-high straight, killing Ashby's chances to win the pot and lessening Mirzikinian's outs to one of the three remaining tens in the deck. Sexton locked up the hand when the came on the river, stacking both Ashby and Mirzikinian, while increasing his own net worth to just over 125,000 in chips.
Sexton is now the clear chip leader and currently the only player in the tournament with over 100,000 in chips.
