Hallaert Bests O'Dwyer at Showdown

Level 20 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Kenny Hallaert opened the action with a raise to 55,000 in the hijack and Steve O'Dwyer in the big blind was the only caller. There was no betting action on the {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop and O'Dwyer then bet the {10-Clubs} turn for 45,000 and the {10-Diamonds} river for 80,000.

Hallaert called both bets and was shown {q-Hearts}{9-Spades} for a busted gutshot by O'Dwyer, he raked in the pot with {3-Spades}{3-Hearts} for a full house.

O'Dwyer Strikes Back

Level 20 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Farid Jattin opened for 54,000 under the gun and Steve O'Dwyer made it 130,000 on the button. Jattin peeled and check-called 70,000 on the {6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{q-Spades} flop. He checked the {j-Hearts} and O'Dwyer bet more than half of his remaining chips, 280,000. Jattin folded after thinking briefly.

Jattin Jams Into O'Dwyer, Shows Seven-High Bluff

Level 20 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante
Farid Jattin
Farid Jattin

The first significant pot for a while kicked off with a raise to 54,000 by Farid Jattin in the cutoff and Steve O'Dwyer defended the big blind to see a flop of {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. O'Dwyer checked his option and Jattin continued for 75,000, which O'Dwyer called.

Once the {6-Hearts} turn paired the board, O'Dwyer checked again and Jattin cut out a bet of 333,000 before sliding it forward, with an O'Dwyer call following.

The {j-Diamonds} fell on the river and O'Dwyer checked the third street in a row with around 750,000 behind. Jattin emptied the clip by moving all-in and that sent O'Dwyer deep into the think tank. More than three minutes passed and O'Dwyer folded, one second later Jattin silently and casually rolled over his {7-Spades}{4-Spades} for a bluff, collecting the pot without any word or apparent expression behind his shades.

Jattin Pays Off Greenwood

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Sam Greenwood raised it up on the button and Farid Jattin came along from the big blind to see a flop of {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} on which he checked and called a bet of 70,000 by Greenwood. The {9-Diamonds} on the turn was checked and Jattin reluctantly check-called a bet of 150,000 by Greenwood.

Once the Canadian turned over {q-Hearts}{10-Spades} for a pair of tens, Jattin mucked his cards and Greenwood dragged in an urgently needed pot.

Hallaert Finds a Pair

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Steve O'Dwyer raised to 45,000 in the cutoff and quickly called the shove of Kenny Hallaert, who had 471,000 in the big blind.

O'Dwyer: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Hallaert: {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Hallaert's cards were live and he paired up on the {3-Spades}{5-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop. Further good news arrived for him when he picked up a flush draw on the {2-Hearts} turn. The {6-Diamonds} river confirmed that O'Dwyer would send over a double.

Yokosawa Bests Wolff

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

In a battle of the blinds, George Wolff limped in and Masato Yokosawa checked his option. Both players checked the {9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop and Wolff made it 45,000 to go on the {3-Hearts} turn. Yokosawa grabbed into his stack and made it another 100,000 on top, which Wolff called.

No betting action followed on the {8-Clubs} river and Yokosawa tabled {a-Spades}{9-Clubs} for aces and nines to win the pot.
