Roope Salminen Eliminated in 3rd Place ($19,520)

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante
Roope Salminen
Roope Salminen

Only a few minutes after agreeing to the deal and coming back from the break, Roope Salminen raised to 2,000 from the small blind. Geoffrey Mooney announced all in and Salminen called. "Okay, off to the races," the Finn said.

Mooney: {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Salminen: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

The Finn kept the lead on the {7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} flop, but Mooney improved thanks to the {8-Spades} turn. It was the blank {7-Diamonds} river that sent Salminen to the rail in 3rd place and set up the all-Australian heads-up duel.

Salminen Falling Back

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

The majority of small pots went to either Nam Le or Geoffrey Mooney, thus it is no surprise to see Roope Salminen falling back slightly behind his Australian opponents. Le limped in from the small blind and the Finn checked. There was no betting action on the {5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop and the {K-Hearts} turn.

Le then checked the {5-Clubs} river, Salminen bet 1,000 and was called to reveal {10-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for ten-high and a busted straight draw. Le won the pot with {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}.

Adam Jarvis Eliminated in 4th Place ($11,625)

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante
Adam Jarvis
Adam Jarvis

Geoffrey Mooney opened to 1,600 and Adam Jarvis moved all in for around 12,000 from one seat over. Mooney didn't even ask for a count but quickly called and flashed the {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. Jarvis was trailing with the {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and didn't get there on the board {5-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}.

Jarvis was sent to the payout desk to collect A$11,625 for his efforts and the field has been reduced to the last three.

Mooney Shoves the Flop

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Roope Salminen raised to 1,500 and scooped the blinds and antes. One hand later, Geoffrey Mooney raised to 1,500 and Adam Jarvis as well as Salminen called. On the flop {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}, the action was checked to Jarvis and he bet 3,500. Salminen called and Mooney's shove took down the pot uncontested.

Four-Way Hand ends in Split Pot

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Roope Salminen raised to 1,500 and was called by all three opponents to see the flop {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. All players checked and the {10-Diamonds} came on the turn. Jarvis moved all in and Nam Le quickly folded. Salminen asked for a count and then said "you might have a better hand than me." Ultimately, the Finn called the shove for 12,375 and his fear was immediately confirmed.

Jarvis: {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Salminen: {10-Spades}{9-Spades}

The {A-Clubs} river ensured a split pot and Jarvis' comeback was postponed.

Jarvis Gets Short

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Roope Salminen raised to 1,500 and was called by Geoffrey Mooney on the button. Both checked down the board {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Salminen won the pot with {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for king-high.

Then, Adam Jarvis raised and called the three-bet of Nam Le to see a flop of {3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}. Jarvis checked, Le bet 2,100 and that won the pot. One hand later, Le raised to 1,400 and Jarvis defended his big blind. Both checked the flop {8-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs}, jarvis bet the {9-Spades} turn for 1,000.

Le folded and Jarvis flashed {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for two pair. "That's pretty good," Le said to his opponent.
