Brandes Busts; Last Two Tables

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Fabian Brandes was all in for his last 12,000 chips preflop and got called by Nikolaos Solomos.

Brandes: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Solomos: {Q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}

"Sixes run well," Solomos added after his previous hand against Michael Guttman. And the sixes indeed scored the knockout once again after a board of {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{4-Clubs} to reduce the field to the last 16.

Xenofontos Doubles Through Truong

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Things escalated on the flop {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} with Xen Xenofontos at risk for 43,500 chips. Start-of-the-day chip leader Tam Truong looked him up and they turned over the cards.

Xenofontos: {J-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades} for a set of sevens and a gutshot
Truong: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{J-Clubs}{4-Spades} for the nut flush draw

The {K-Hearts} turn now gave Truong some outs with any queen giving him a straight, but the {6-Diamonds} river blanked.

Polias Triples

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

All three active players checked the flop {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and the chips of Nicholas Polias then went in after the {10-Spades} turn. Sam Higgs as well as Jiajun Luo called and checked down the {5-Spades} river.

Polias showed the {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for a flopped full house, Higgs flipped over his {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for the inferior straight and Luo mucked.

Solomos Busts Guttman

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

On the {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop, Michael Guttman bet 10,000 and Nikolaos Solomos called before Guttman then shoved the {6-Diamonds} turn. Solomos called and it was a setup hand for both players:

Guttman: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{4-Spades}
Solomos: {K-Spades}{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

The {8-Hearts} river blanked and Guttman's top two were no good, awarding the pot to Solomos.

Truong Busts Two

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Tam Truong lost some chips early on but then felted Jens Lakemeier and Andrew Shanahan in a three-way all in. Shanahan was all in preflop out of the big blind, Lakemeier had opened from under the gun and then called the all in as did Truong out of the small blind. On the flop, Truong checked and Lakemeier shoved to get snap-called by Truong.

Lakemeier held pocket aces, Shanahan the {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Truong got it all with {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} on a board of {7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{J-Spades}.
