Rocha is not Amused

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

After a raise to 425, Alex Rocha flat-called and so did Ferenc Riech. On the flop {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}, the initial raiser bet 825 and Rocha raised to 3,450 with Riech getting out of the way. The opponent moved all in for 6,400 with {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Rocha's {A-}{K-} failed to improve.

One hand later, Rocha opened to 350 and was called one way before the player in the small blind squeezed to 1,175. Rocha folded and the cold-called tossed in the extra chips. Both remaining players checked the flop {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} before the player in the small blind then bet the {9-Clubs} turn for 1,900 to win the pot.

With a dry smile, Rocha said he had folded ace-queen.

On the flop {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}, the trio checked and Young also checked the {6-Hearts} turn. Two Players Out; Day to Forget for Liu

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante
Xuan Liu
Xuan Liu

Louis Salter grabbed most of the chips of the first player out after flopping top set and cracking a pair of aces. The opponent hung around with seven big blinds for a while before eventually surrendering.

One table over, Xuan Liu had a day to forget. Forced out of a bigger pot early on she now got into a raising war and the remaining stack went into the middle of the table. Liu showed {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} but failed to improve against the {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} of her opponent after the board ran out {A-Spades}{4-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}.

Technical Difficulties; Break

Crown Exhibition Hall
Crown Exhibition Hall

The players have been sent off on a 15-minute break just one level into play.

Some technical difficulties with the lighting in the room left them playing in the dark and when the level ended, a decision was made to halt play in an attempt to fix the issue.
