Joe Cabret Eliminated in 6th Place ($37,550)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Joe Cabret
Joe Cabret

The action folded around to Joe Cabret in the hijack, who moved all in for 615,000. [Removed:17] was on the big blind and looked down at his cards before going into the tank. A minute passed before he finally made the call as both players tabled their cards.

Cabret: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Yan: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The flop came down {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} as Cabret stood up from his chair. Unfortunately for Cabret, the {3-Hearts} on the turn and {k-Clubs} on the river were no help as he was sent to the rail.

A great result for Cabret who at one stage had only one 5,000-chip with 16 players remaining. With that pot, Yan cruises up to 3,400,000 in chips and has a commanding lead on the rest of the table.

Phi Luu - 7th Place

Phi Luu shoved for 295,000 from under the gun plus one. The action then folded around to Billy Argyros in the big blind.

"Here we will find out together," said Argyros as he slowly open squeezed {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}.

Argyros made the call and Luu tabled {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.

Argyros closed his eyes as the board ran out {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{a-Clubs} and opened them to find out he had eliminated Luu in 7th place.

Then there were six.

Ravi Left Crippled, Yan New Leader

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Ravi Maravar opened it up to 90,000 from under the gun plus one. Directly on Maravar's left and [Removed:17] would three-bet to 240,000. Folded back around to Maravar and he would four-bet to 600,000. Yan quickly five-bet all in for 1,285,000 and Maravar made the call.

Maravar: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Yan: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Maravar got out of his seat and Yan cringed as the dealer spread out a {2-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs} board.

With that, Yan is our new chip leader, while Maravar is very short.

Argyros Doubles Through Yan

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Billy Argyros looked down at his cards before moving all in for 276,000 from the hijack. [Removed:17] was on the button and quickly made the call, before both players tabled their cards.

Argyros: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Yan: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

Argyros was behind with his hand against Yan and didn’t improve when the flop came down {4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}.

“Three,” asked Argyros, before watching as the dealer produced the {3-Diamonds} which gave him a straight.

“Thank you. Now pair the board,” he asked again before the dealer obliged by turning over the {3-Spades}.

Three Shoves in a Row

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

There has just been three all-in shoves in a row.

First it was Phi Luu three-bet jamming from the button over an open to 51,000 from [Removed:17]. Luu scared his opponents away and scooped up the pot.

Then Joe Cabret moved all in for 403,000 from the small blind after Bowdy Tolhopf opened to 50,000 from the button. Tolhopf thought for a few moments before folding {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} face up.

The very next hand Billy "The Croc" Argyros shoved all in for his short stack from under the gun. A flurry of cards went into the muck from all around the table and Argyros picked up the blinds and antes.

Jazz Mathers Eliminated in 9th Place ($16,650)

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Jazz Mathers
Jazz Mathers

The action folded around to Ravi Maravar in the hijack who opened to 55,000. Jazz Mathers was on the button and moved all in for his last 94,000 in chips. The blinds got out of the way before Maravar made the call.

Mathers: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Maravar: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

Mathers kept his lead when the dealer produced the {8-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, but fell quickly behind when the {a-Diamonds} fell on the turn. Needing a ten to make a straight, Mathers watched as the {j-Clubs} was turned over instead, leaving him as the first player eliminated from the final table.

Maravar Takes Down the First

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

The first hand of the final table saw the action fold around to Ravi Maravar on the small blind who made the call before [Removed:17] checked from the big blind.

The flop came down {j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Maravar checked. Yan threw out 35,000 and was called before the {5-Hearts} fell on the turn. Both players opted to check as the {a-Hearts} completed the board.

Maravar quickly reached for his chips and bet out 65,000 which was enough to take down the pot as Yan tossed his cards into the muck.
