Larsson Doubles Through de Jong

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Cornelis de Jong opened to 140,000 first to act with the {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} and Kristian Larsson in the big blind glanced at the {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. Down to 905,000 after having paid the big blind ante, Larsson moved all in and de Jong immediately asked for a count.

After a few seconds, the Dutchman called and it was a classic flip for Larsson.

On the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop, Larsson took the lead and remained there with the {a-Spades} turn and {3-Clubs} river run out. De Jong dropped from second place towards the bottom of the pack.

Schiano Pays Off Rossi

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Gabriele Rossi
Gabriele Rossi

Gabriele Rossi raised to 130,000 with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} in the hijack and Ferran Corominas called with {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} in the cutoff. On a {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop, Rossi made it 130,000 to go and Corominas tossed in calling chips.

The {k-Spades} turn triggered a bet of 245,000 by Rossi and Corominas sent his cards into the muck.

Stefano Schiano opened to 130,000 with {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Rossi made the call in the big blind with {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Rossi flopped best on {k-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and both players checked to the {8-Clubs} turn. A bet of 160,000 by Rossi resulted in the call by fellow countryman Schiano and the {4-Hearts} river was a blank.

Rossi bet 395,000 for half of the pot and Schiano used one of his time bank extensions, let the clock run down to five seconds and called to get shown the bad news.

Down to the last six players, Rossi now holds more than 50% of the chips in play.

Rossi Continues Aggression

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Gabriele Rossi raised to 130,000 with the {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Stefano Schiano called in the big blind with the {q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. The flop brought {k-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Schiano checked, Rossi checked back and the {3-Spades} turn paired the board.

Schiano checked once more and so did Rossi to see the {9-Spades} river. Schiano checked and Rossi bet 115,000 to win the pot.

Schiano and Corominas also won pots, while Kristian larsson and Ricardo Pinto have barely been involved in the action on the final table so far.

Samuel Hernandez
Samuel Hernandez

Gabriele Rossi raised to 130,000 from early position and Samuel Hernandez jammed for 745,000 in the cutoff. The chip leader instantly called and Hernandez sighed when he saw the premium hand turned over on the other side of the table.

Samuel Hernandez: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Gabriele Rossi: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The kicker played on the {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and Hernandez was eliminated in 7th place. Rossi added another bounty to his resume of the day and holds a commanding lead over the rest of the field with six players remaining.

Henrik Ahlstroem Eliminated in 8th Place (€11,000)

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Henrik Ahlstroem
Henrik Ahlstroem

Henrik Ahlstroem jammed for the last 310,000 from early position and he was called by dominating chip leader Gabriele Rossi.

Henrik Ahlstroem: {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Gabriele Rossi: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

The {j-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop opened up some back door opportunities, however, the {q-Spades} turn spelled the end for the Swede. A meaningless {j-Spades} appeared on the river and Ahlstroem, who had qualified for this event on 888poker, headed to the payout desk to collect €11,000 for his efforts.

Rossi's Bluff Works in Three-Way Pot

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Stefano Schiano opened with the {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} in the hijack and Cornelis de Jong called in the small blind with the {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}, as did Gabriele Rossi in the big blind with {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. On the {j-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, de Jong led for 175,000 and picked up two callers.

The {6-Spades} followed on the turn and de Jong now made it 200,000 to go into a pot of 900,000. Rossi opted for a raise to 635,000 after some consideration and Schiano used one time bank extension and folded his overpair.

De Jong also used a time bank and carefully counted his remaining stack, used another time bank extension while Rossi kept staring at the middle of the table. De Jong shook his head, glanced over at Rossi and folded.

De Jong Takes From Schiano

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Stefano Schiano opened to 110,000 with the {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} in the cutoff and Cornelis de Jong called in the big blind with {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. On the {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop, de Jong checked and called a bet of 110,000 by Schiano.

The {3-Diamonds} turn was checked through and de Jong led the {6-Hearts} river to force an instant fold from the better hand.

Jai Saha Eliminated in 9th Place (€8,500)

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Jai Saha
Jai Saha

Down to his last 570,000, Jai Saha moved all in from middle position and he was called by Ferran Corominas, who had previously doubled through the 888poker online qualifier from the UK just a few minutes ago.

Jai Saha: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}
Ferran Corominas: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Saha found no help on the {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop and {2-Diamonds} turn, and the {a-Diamonds} river ensured that the kicker played. Saha was eliminated in 9th place and takes home €8,500.
