Sihao Zhang Leads Final 51 in Irish Open Online Main Event

From a starting field of 2,945 just 51 players remain in the Irish Open Online Main Event on partypoker after Day 2.

Each of them is guaranteed €6,567, but they will all be looking at the mammoth first prize of €462,100 that awaits the winner.

Leading the way is Luxembourg's Sihao Zhang who is within touching distance of five million chips, and is more than a million chips ahead of Ireland's Tomas Glynn and Canada's William Blais.

Day 2 Recap

A total of 408 places were paid in the 2020 Irish Open Online Main Event, with the likes of Aymon Hata, Scott Margereson, Elio Fox, Sam Higgs, Romain Lewis and Mark Radoja just missing out.

The bubble burst with the elimination of Warren Aspey in 409th place, guaranteeing the remaining field €2,150.

Among those receiving this payout were Stefan Jedlicka, Joey Weissman, Harry Lodge and Mustapha Kanit.

Both players took home just over €10,400 after over six and a half hours of play. The tournament attracted 565 entrants, generating a prize pool of €85,880.
