Abdelhakim Zoufri Bags Irish Open Online Main Event Chip Lead After Day 1c

The third starting flight of the Irish Open Online on partypoker saw another 824 players enter, with 321 advancing to Day 2 which starts today, April 11th and 19:00 (BST).

Although not the biggest starting flight, by the end of it there was a clear chip leader with Abdelhakim Zoufri bagging 376,893 to become the overall leader with just one starting flight remaining.

There were several other big names who bagged from Day 1c including Mike Del Vecchio (184,468), Max Greenwood (123,431), Anatoly Filatov (93,982), Andreas Klatt (92,851), Katie Swift (77,163), Romain Lewis (74,934) and Guy Taylor (64,495).

The final chance for players to make it through to Day 2 is April 11th at 17:00 (BST) with the Turbo Day 1d. For all players who have made it through, Day 2 begins at 19:00 BST on April 11th.


Florian Ptacnik Wins Irish Open Online 'Mini Irish Open' for €33,871

There were a total of 759 entrants in the Mini Irish Open on partypoker last night as the Irish Open Online Main Event's younger brother saw Austria's Florian Ptacnik crowned champion.

New Zealand's Joshua McCully finished second for €24,098, with the winner walking away with €33,871.

Erik Lemarquand wins Irish Open Onlinve Event #14 for €7,285

Three Canadians made the final table of the Irish Open Online Event #14 on partypoker, but in the end it was Erik Lemarquand who defeated compatriot Rishi Makkar to win the PLO Deepstack event.

Lemarquand, who is closing on on $500,000 in live earnings took home €7,285 for his victory, after topping a field of 195 entries, making it the second-largest PLO event of the Irish Open Online.

Liz Seeley defeated Elliott Peterman heads-up in the Irish Open Online Event #15 on partypoker last night, notching up another victory for Canada in the process.

She took home €11,174 for her victory, defeating a field of 390 players, generating a prize pool of €58,500 - almost doubling the guarantee.
