Dzmitry Urbanovich: Double KO Series champion

They say things come in threes and Dzmitry Urbanovich is hoping the saying is true because he could be set for another major windfall. The Polish Team partypoker Pro won a KO Series event on Day 8 of the festival and another on Day 11 yesterday.

Round 1 - The Fist: KO Series #34-SHR: $750K Gtd 8-Max

Urbanovich’s first victory came in the KO Series #34-SHR: $750K Gtd 8-Max on Sunday. This $5,200 buy-in event saw 183 players create a $933,300 prize pool. Half went into the main prize pool and was shared among the top 24 finishers, while the other 50 percent went on the heads of each entrant.

“Breaking TheLAW” busted in eighth place for $25,929 in total and was joined on the rail by “PayAndPlay” and “MasterOfPigeons” who walked away with prizes of $18,376 and $33,167 respectively. “Quantum_Leap” bagged $41,784 for their fifth-place exit, only slightly less than the $45,045 “skitzo7932” collected for busting one place deeper thanks to the bounty element.

The penultimate elimination was that of “Brachiosaurus” whose third-place finish won them $81,823. This left Urbanovich and “CalmDownMan” to battle one-on-one for the title. It was a fight Urbanovich went on to win, securing a massive $192,792 and leaving his opponent to add a still-impressive $120,672 to their partypoker bankroll.
