In March 2022, Rush Street Interactive (RSI), a prominent name in online casino and sports betting, made headlines by acquiring Phil Galfond's online poker platform, Run It Once Poker, for $5.8 million. Since then, the online poker community has eagerly anticipated this platform's next chapter.

In a press release today, RSI officially launched BetRivers Poker, a fresh addition to the real money online poker landscape in the United States, marking a new era for American players.

The site was crafted in close partnership with Galfond, a widely respected figure in the poker community, and the announcement marks a significant milestone in RSI's broader poker strategy.

"As poker players, we designed this platform from the ground up to be for the players – all players. From the amateur playing their very first hand to the sophisticated pro, everyone was kept in mind as we focused on fairness, excitement, and generous rewards that truly benefit the player," said Galfond. "I’ve been heavily involved in the game design, promotions, and policy decisions, and, more importantly, in building an incredible team that sees online poker the way I do."

Where Can You Play BetRivers Poker?

BetRivers debuts its new poker site in Pennsylvania as the first step in RSI's expansion plan, with further state rollouts on the horizon. This new platform promises cutting-edge features, strategic partnerships, and a strong player-centric approach.

The platform is currently up and running, and anyone in Pennsylvania can sign up for the poker room here. BetRivers Poker is currently offering a welcome bonus of 100% up to $1,000 for new players using the code POKER.

Players can access the site via a desktop client compatible with Mac and Windows. Mobile apps for iPhone and Android are expected to launch soon. Today's rollout includes unique features from Run It Once Poker, such as dynamic avatars (explained below), a built-in HUD called HeroIQ, “fair play” auto-seating, and randomized screen names.

What Poker Games are Available?

BetRivers Poker brings a diverse lineup of game formats to the table, featuring cash games, Sit & Go tournaments, and Multi-Table Tournaments (MTTs). The platform also introduces Cub3d Sit & Go Tournaments (spin and go's), where players can multiply their buy-in up to 1,500 times in just minutes

Among its standout features are Dynamic Avatars, which give players a unique edge by reflecting opponents' play styles in real time.

Rake & Rewards

BetRivers Poker is set to feature some of the lowest rake rates in Pennsylvania, ensuring players receive exceptional value with every hand they play. Additionally, the platform integrates seamlessly with the acclaimed BetRivers iRush Rewards program, allowing players to earn and redeem points across online and retail environments.

Expanding the Reach to Omnichannel Poker with Rivers Casinos

RSI's partnership with the esteemed poker rooms at Rivers Casinos in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia aims to elevate the poker experience for retail players by providing exclusive rewards and promotions that bridge online and in-person gameplay. Retail players can take advantage of integrated rewards and enjoy smooth transitions between digital and live poker settings, making it easier to engage with both platforms.

"We are incredibly excited about the launch of this platform. Our goal is to create a seamless experience for players, bridging the gap between the BetRivers digital and Rivers Casino offerings," said Richard Schwartz, Chief Executive Officer of RSI. "By aligning with Rush Street Gaming’s strong retail presence, we are able to leverage our combined strengths to offer a truly unique poker experience that benefits players and drives growth across our entire portfolio."

Tim Drehkoff, Chief Executive Officer of Rush Street Gaming, added, "This launch reinforces our commitment to offering Rivers Casino’s guests a wide variety of gaming options. By integrating online and in-person poker, we’re not only enhancing the player experience but also providing a seamless loyalty and rewards program. We’re committed to continuing to innovate and provide value to our players."
