Caribbean Poker Party

The partypoker LIVE 2018 Caribbean Poker Party kicks off at Baha Mar in The Bahamas on Nov. 9 and runs all the way through Nov. 17 with more than $22 million in guaranteed prize pools to play for across the series.

It is the massive $10 million guaranteed MILLIONS World that gets the 2018 Caribbean Poker Party under way. This $25,500 high roller event is sure to attract some of the biggest names in poker. Last year’s festival featured a $25,500 buy-in event, although this only had a $1 million guaranteed prize pool instead of a whopping $10 million.

Chris Hunichen was crowned that tournament’s champion after defeating 42 opponents. Hunichen banked $400,000 for the victory.

MILLIONS World requires 400 entries for the ambitious $10 million guarantee to be hit, so it is no surprise there are at least seven $5,200 buy-in satellites taking place from Nov. 9-11, with a total of 55 seats guaranteed.

Players can re-enter on each of the two starting flights and also have the option to buy in before play resumes on Day 2. Whether the $10 million guarantee is hit remains to be seen, but it should be a fantastic spectacle for the poker community to watch whether in The Bahamas or from affair.

Caribbean Poker Party Main Event and Side Events

The other $10 million guaranteed tournament on the schedule is the $5,300 buy-in Main Event. Last year’s event featured a $5 million guarantee and was won by Sam Greenwood, who returned to Canada armed with $1 million. The Main will need to attract twice as many entrants as it did in 2017 for the $10 million guarantee to be reached.

Like the MILLIONS World event, the Main Event has several live satellites feeding into it from Nov. 10-14. These satellites cost $550 or $1,100 to enter and have a combined 250 guaranteed seats. Again, players can re-enter on any Main Event starting flight and late registration is open until the start of Day 2.

There are some mouth-watering tournaments scheduled to complement the MILLIONS World and Main Event. These include a $1,100 buy-in Finale with its $1 million guarantee, a $1,100 Pot-Limit Omaha event with $100,000 guaranteed, a handful of $275 side events, a $1,650 H.O.R.S.E event for the mixed game lovers and the massive $250,000 buy-in Super High Roller Championships that has a 42-player cap. Have a look at the full series schedule below.
