888poker 8-Team Day 3 Update: Down to Final Four w/ Moorman in Lead
Day 3 of the 2018 World Series of Poker Main Event saw the final nine players in the 888poker 8-Team Competition return to action. When play stopped after breaking the money bubble, just four remained in Chris Mooman, Arseniy Karmatsky, Billy Chattaway and Pedro Correa.
Right now, Team UK is out in the lead and the favorite to win with two players still in contention. However, Team Russia and Brazil are drawing live.
Remember, there are seven teams of three – each comprised of a captain, wingman and an online qualifier –representing countries like Spain, Canada, UK, Sweden, Russia, Brazil and Germany.
The team that amasses the most points throughout the Main Event will win a 2019 WSOP Main Event seat for each team member. Points are accumulated based on surviving each day of the tournament along with a bonus for finishing as the chip leader. In addition, the last team qualifier standing will win 100 points for their team.

Day 3 Action
On Saturday, Team Canada’s hopes were pinned on the short-stacked Parker “Tonka” Talbot. Unfortunately for the team captain and 888poker pro, he was unable to spin it up.
His demise came in Level 11 (1,000/2,000/300) when he limped from middle position and David Gerassi did the same on the button. Both blinds came along to make it four-way action to the 8♣J♥10♥ flop and action checked around to Gerrassi, who bet 5,000. The two players in the blinds folded before Talbot moved all in. Gerassi called, and Talbot was behind.
David Gerassi: A♥J♣
Parker Talbot: Q♠J♦
Neither the 6♥ turn nor 7♦ river resolved Talbot’s kicker problem and he was eliminated in the first level of the day, joining Team Canada wingman Mike Leah and qualifier Jonathan Schaler on the rail.
Meanwhile, Moorman finished Day 3 with the big stack to earn the chip leader bonus.
