Global Poker players will soon have many more payment options at their disposal, as the online poker site for players in U.S. and Canada has just announced a partnership with Worldpay, a global leader in omni-commerce payments.

“One thing our customers have made clear to us is that they would like more choice when it comes to payment methods.”

According to Global, Worldpay is a leader in the global payment space who recently joined up with Vantiv in January 2018, and processes more than 40 billion transactions per year.

Laurence Escalante, Founder and CEO of Global Poker’s parent company VGW, is happy to better serve their customers by offering more choice in payment solutions.

“One thing our customers have made clear to us is that they would like more choice when it comes to payment methods,” said Escalante. “Worldpay’s extensive network and vast expertise allow us to give our players this choice.

“With Worldpay we have the ability to offer a range of payment solutions to our customers including credit card payments, as well as e-wallet and mobile options. This means our customers can interact with us in whatever way is most convenient to them.”

While before, players needed to buy gold coins through PayPal in order to get bonus Sweeps Cash that could be cashed out for real money prizes, now players will be able to use many other payment and cashout methods previously not possible. Though an exact date wasn't announced, Global Poker spokespersons expect that players will have access to the added payment options in the very near future.

If you have yet to experience the social gaming offerings at Global Poker, you can sign up for a free account today and pretty soon, your options for purchasing gold coins will be aplenty.

Global Poker is solely available for players in the U.S. and Canada
