Sunday Briefing

Jan. 28 was the eight day of the $15 million guaranteed POWERFEST at partypoker and it was the biggest day of series so far with more than $2.6 million awarded across 12 events. Besides partypoker, PokerStars had some decent prizes up for grabs too, and it was the last day of the 888 XL Blizzard. Let's take a look at the results of some of the biggest events online this weekend.

“nipa3p3” was the unfortunate soul to burst the money bubble, which paved the way for Team partypoker’s Louise “lou045” Butler to min-cash for $10,200. The least any of the eight final table members could win was $16,575, the sum “WWWpartyCOM” collected.

“girafganger” fell in seventh-place and Conor “ADRIEN_BRODY” Beresford was another notable finalist; Beresford busted in fifth-place.

“aLiNeNok1617” and “PhileasFogg” locked horns heads-up for the title, but not before striking a deal that locked up a six-figure score for each of them. The former eventually secured the title to win his or her first POWERFEST event.
