Powerfest at partypoker

Powerfest has returned to partypoker for its seventh edition in a huge way. The festival takes place from Jan. 21 to Feb. 4 and features 147 tournaments with $15 million in combined guaranteed prize pools.

The events are separated into Low, Medium and High tiers. The Medium events feature a buy-in approximately 10-times that of the Low events and likewise, the High events cost about 10-times as much as the Medium events.

The final day of the festival on Feb. 4 will be especially big with $4.7 million in guarantees including three separate events each guaranteeing $1 million. These include the $5,200 Powerfest #46-H: $1M Gtd NLH, the $215 Powerfest #48-M: $1M Gtd Main Event and the $2,100 Powerfest #48-H: $1M Gtd Main Event. There will also be a Low Main Event with a $22 buy-in and a $100,000 guarantee for lower stakes players.

As is always the case, partypoker is hosting tons of promotions to make Powerfest even more lucrative than its huge schedule with big guarantees suggest.

Powerfest Leaderboards

partypoker is hosting three leaderboards for its Low, Medium and High events with $170,000 in prizes being awarded to the top 150 spots in each leaderboard. Satellites and sub-satellites start at just $0.01, meaning any player regardless of their bankroll size can participate in Powerfest.

Leaderboards points will be awarded to players that finish in the money in any of the 147 Powerfest events. The higher a player finishes, the more points they will earn. Prizes will be awarded to the winners' accounts within 48 hours of the completion of Powerfest as follows:

The first 100 players that win entry via satellite tournaments to each of the three Powerfest Main Events will be awarded a Golden Chip. If a Golden Chip holder wins the High Main Event, they will be awarded an additional $15,000. Likewise, a Golden Chip holder can win an additional $10,000 if they win the Medium Main Event and an additional $5,000 if they win the Low Main Event.

Double Points Days

On four days during the online poker festival, players will earn double the amount of reward points on any of the Powerfest events they enter. Since points mean cashback, this means double the rewards players will receive.
