Sunday Briefing: Ewald 'SPEWTARD' Olivera Secures His Largest Cash

Ewald “SPEWTARD” Olivera had a Sunday to remember on April 30, securing the largest online poker tournament cash of his year when he won the PokerStars Sunday Million.

During December 2016, Olivera won the $250,000 Gtd Title Fight at partypoker and banked $41,972 for his victory. This was his biggest cash haul until this weekend when Olivera had $155,588 added to his PokerStars account when he topped a field of 5,392 players in the Sunday Million.

Olivera could have been boasting of a $161,671 score but he was part of a three-handed deal with “leopol6d1988” ($89,401) and “antispeed” ($106,002) which left $20,000 for the eventual champion. That champion was, of course, Olivera and the Peruvian now has more than $750,000 in online tournament cashes.

  • “anti-durrr” – winner of the $215 Weekender for $8,014
  • “FouEnculePL” – winner of the Big $109 for $16,047
  • “wvoron81” – winner of the $700 Super-Sized Sunday for $37,389
  • Peter “Belabasci” Traply – winner of the $1,050 Sunday Grand NLHE for $52,442
  • Francis “NoHayMiedo*” Cruz – winner of the $1,050 Sunday Grand PLO for $32,226
  • “gnetaren” – winner of the Big $215 for $25,961
  • “mollycash” – winner of the $109 Sunday Cooldown for $23,438
  • “EdenR” – winner of the $215 Sunday Supersonic for $27,189
  • “Sr.Rouquinho” – winner of the $109 Sunday Wrap-Up for $10,241

Over atpartypoker, the $2,600 Super High Roller ended in a three-way chop. “Chelsea72” scooped the largest prize, namely $30,102, with partypoker ambassador Patrick “Patrick_Leonard” Leonard finishing second for $28,269. Third place and $27,125 went to “PhileasFogg.” Sam Trickett bust in fifth place.

The largest cash at partypoker this weekend went to “cooler_me”, who won the $215 Title Fight while Roman “SanityWaterline” Romanovsky helped himself to an impressive $33,252 by taking down the $530 High Roller.

“IliusDooo” came out on top in the $109 Main Event to win $27,447, “titofarjus” won the $215 Title Fight Warm-Up for $26,275, “bossamtisch1” secured the $4,827 top prize in the $109 Weigh-In and “icenigel” was at the top of the payouts in the $109 Rebuy, a finish worth $7,350.

“bossamtisch1” also won the $215 Eliminator progressive knockout tournament for $5,240 and “Slaaasch” topped a field of 266 players to walk away from the $215 Title Fight II with $9,473.

Finally, the results from 888poker. Kicking us off are victories for “JDrake” in the $600 Whale worth $25,800 and John “JohnFoot” Proudfoot who won $22,668 in the $215 Mega Deep. “MarioAllin58” took down the $215 Turbo Mega Deep for $8,600 and Canada’s “heyfreddy” won the $90 Sunday Challenge for $10,666.
