Sunday Briefing: Sunday Million Ends in Five-Way Chop
Online poker’s richest weekly tournament, the $215 Sunday Million at PokerStars, ended in a five-way chop this weekend with the quintet of players walking away with between $66,000 and $114,002 for their investment.
A deal was struck with only five players remaining. “H1TMANSH” was the first to benefit; the fifth-place finish was originally worth $38,100 but H1TMANSH took home $86,475 after the deal was struck.
Fourth place and $114,002, the largest prize this week, went to Sweden’s “CherryOnTop”. “Ballertimes” of Finland secured a $66,000 payout. The runner-up, “meneerbeer” banked $86,465, while “Apekatt666” was the last player standing and turned $215 into $100,772.

There were also some huge results at partypoker on March 19, including the win in the $350,000 Gtd Title Fight for “Civilokas” which was worth a cool $56,000. Another large score went to “SleepT1ght” who triumphed in the $150,000 Gtd Main Event and turned $109 into $25,942.
Four high roller tournaments at partypoker were each filled with some of the best poker talent the world has to offer.
Robin “petdet3ctive” Ylitalo walked away with the $25,552 first-place prize of the $100,000 Gtd High Roller, while “good player” took down the $100,000 Gtd Super High Roller for $51,698. In the $150,000 Gtd High Roller, “BuyThaPot” claimed the top prize, namely $37,328 with “prebzzz” walking away with the $13,436 first-place prize of the $50,000 Gtd Turbo High Roller.
Over at 888poker, Scott “AggroSantos” Margereson walked away with top honors in the $120,000 Whale and turned his $600 into a most impressive $29,694. Germany’s “bossamtisch1” scooped the $25,687 top prize on offer in the $120,000 Mega Deep.
In the $40,000 Turbo Mega Deep, “LeetRunGoot” turned $215 into $9,243, “m.stoyanov25” won the $50,000 Crocodile for $12,397, and “Wilmy_x” secured the $15,241 top prize in the $80,000 Sunday Challenge.
