Sunday Briefing: Sunday Million Ends With Three-Way Chop

Online poker’s biggest weekly tournament, the PokerStars Sunday Million, ended in a three-way chop this week with all three players involved in the deal securing a payout of more than $100,000.

Germany’s “bargeeeld” emerged victorious and scooped $120,108 with “jm1306” of Brazil being the runner-up, a finish worth $110,524. Third place was another Brazilian, Everton “EvertonBezer” da Silva Bezerra and they collected $100,769 as part of the deal.

Another huge PokerStars tournament is the $1,050 Sunday Grand NLHE. This week, 309 players created a $309,000 prize pool with $58,130 now nestled in the account of Mexico’s JC “PrtyPsux” Alvarado. Some of the other massive wins at PokerStars on Feb. 12 included:

  • “dddscorpion” – winner of the $109 Sunday Kickoff for $21,977
  • Steven “SvZff” van Zadelhoff – winner of the Hot $162 for $7,455
  • “DarKTeodoR” – winner of the $215 Bounty Builder for $16,921
  • Simon “C. Darwin2” Mattsson – winner of the $215 Sunday Warm-Up for $56,056
  • Guntis “poker@luffyD” Aleskins – winner of the $215 Weekender for $10,154
  • “tomakgchm” - winner of the Big $109 for $21,185
  • “Brryann” – winner of the Hot $162 for $16,058
  • “Anton720” – winner of the $700 Super-Sized Sunday for $43,576
  • “LeROYal 09” – winner of the $109 Bounty Builder for $16,686
  • “Blunty2004” – winner of the $109 Bubble Rush for $10,495
  • “Respect_Lt” – winner of the Hot $109 for $19,378
  • Robin “robinho” Ylitalo – winner of the $1,050 Sunday Grand PLO for $35,901
  • “Roma-Tilt” – winner of the Big $215 for $22,094
  • “Noogaii” – winner of the $109 Sunday Cooldown for $18,653
  • “IADTTMax” – winner of the $215 Sunday Supersonic for $37,446
  • Georgios “ZISIMO7” Zisimopoulos – winner of the Hot $215 for $18,366
  • “Lenballs1014” – winner of the $109 Sunday Wrap-Up for $8,866

The biggest tournament at partypoker this weekend was the $300,000 Gtd Title Fight. With the Title Fight meeting its guarantee, partypoker promises the guarantee for the Feb. 19 Title Fight will be $325,000.

This week’s Title Fight ended in a heads-up chop involving runner-up “Mr_p_ness_” and champion “WASH_MY_WILLY” who secured prizes of $41,828 and $42,731, respectively.

The $150,000 Gtd Main Event also ended with a chop between the final two players. “edcrfctgb” helped themselves to $22,140 and Robin “petdet3ctive” Ylitalo walked away with $22,805 and the title of champion.

In the $2,600 buy in Super High Roller, “aLiNeNok1617” outlasted 72 opponents and won $49,787 while TJ “RandyB0bandy” Ulmer won the $150,000 Gtd High Roller for an impressive $40,425.

Across to 888poker now where “PuntSonPunt” won the $100,000 Baby Whale, turning $320 into $23,546 and where the $120,000 Mega Deep ended in a heads-up chop between “miccoli1904” and “Mootter” who won $23,759 and $22,408, respectively.

Also at 888poker on Feb. 12 was the victory in the $40,000 Turbo Mega Deep for Brazil’s “fumagudang01” worth $9,897 and the win in the $50,000 Sunday Crocodile for “dmg34” for $7,887.

Wrapping up the Sunday Briefing for another week is Sebastian “iknowmybody” Saffari who took down the $80,000 Sunday Challenge and won $16,414.
