Mid-States Poker Tour

In Season 5, the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) held 21 stops and attracted 7,896 total entrants, while their average number of players per stop jumped from 298 to 373. Many factors contributed to the growth including a new "Chainsaw-Approved" structure, a groundbreaking airline deal for players with Delta, and partnering with PokerNews to live report each $1,100 buy-in Main Event.

Bigger and better things are expected for Season 6, which kicks off later this week at a brand new stop — BestBet Jacksonville – and once again PokerNews will be there to capture all the action.

"The MSPT is proud to welcome back PokerNews for our sixth season. Our players absolutely loved the expanded coverage last season, and we're excited to have their respective journeys shared with the world via a live blog," said MSPT owner and operator Bryan Mileski. "In addition, our players will once again be able to utilize the MyStack app to update their own hands and chip counts, so be sure to download it before the start of Season 6."

PokerNews Editor in Chief Donnie Peters echoed those sentiments: “PokerNews is very happy to continue our partnership with the Mid-States Poker Tour for 2015. We’re excited for another year of full live coverage of the tour, which offers top-notch, affordable poker events to the poker-playing community, but with a big buy-in feel. It’s amazing to see MSPT participation grow year on year, and we hope to help facilitate much more of that growth in 2015.”

The MSPT currently has 21 stops slated for Season 6, though all have not been officially announced. Here's a look at the current Season 6 schedule:
