Less than 24 hours after Tim Cook and the rest of Apple's gang unveiled the brand new iOS 8 operating system for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch last week, TonyBet Poker officially released its first iOS poker app.

The free iOS app, which launched on May 27, can be downloaded for free from Apple's official AppStore and is compatible with any iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch running iOS 4.3 or later.

The TonyBet Poker iOS app allows Apple users to get a full on-the-go online open-face Chinese (OFC) poker experience as it carries all the features and game variants included in TonyBet's poker client.

Realized with a simple and clean user interface, the app allows players to sit at OFC classic, pineapple and turbo tables to play cash games with stakes ranging from €0.02 to $50, sit-and-gos starting from as low as €1, and multi-table tournaments with buy-ins ranging from a minimum of €0.50 to a maximum of €100.

The app offers a full access to the room's offer, so players can also use their mobile phones or tablets to join the many sit-and-go and multi-table tournament freerolls running on TonyBet Poker every day.

The application also includes a full section dedicated to OFC poker rules with tips to play the classic, pineapple and turbo variants, as well as the possibility to contact TonyBet customer support representatives to send a message from within the app itself.

At the moment, Tonybet's mobile OFC app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch is available in the following 18 countries: Australia, Austria, Bolivia, Brazil, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Moldova, Netherlands, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and Venezuela.

A representative from TonyBet Poker told PokerNews that the iOS app is expected to be launched in even more markets by the end of summer 2014.

The launch of the new app completes TonyBet Poker's transition to mobile, as in February 2014 the room launched an open-face Chinese poker Android app available for free from GooglePlay store.
