Serena Williams & Survivor's Ethan Zohn Attend James Blake Foundation Poker Tournament
On Tuesday, Sept. 10, men's lifestyle brand Gents sponsored the James Blake Foundation Poker Tournament to raise money for the Thomas Blake Sr. Memorial Research Fund benefiting early detection cancer research at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. The tournament featured a $1,000 buy-in, which entitled participants to cocktails, dinner and of course great poker action.
James Blake, an American tennis champion, was at the event and managed to attract some notable celebrities including U.S. Open women's tennis champion Serena Williams, who made an appearance at the event but did not play.
Others in attendance were the Brooklyn Nets’ Paul Pierce, who has played at the World Series of Poker in the past; American tennis champion Sam Querrey; soccer player and the winner of Survivor: Africa (Season 3) Ethan Zohn; and Melissa Bolona, who is a campaign models for Gents and served as host for the evening.
Launched in November 2012, Gents is a men’s lifestyle brand offering consumers the highest quality product with a fashionable and sophisticated design aesthetic including men’s luxury baseball caps, apparel, accessories, and a custom-built e-commerce web site.
