RunGoodGear Team Pro, ESPN.com writer, and media personality Bernard Lee is one poker professional that understands the gift of giving. This holiday season, Lee has partnered with Chili’s Grill and Bar Restaurants and his poker apparel sponsor RunGoodGear to donate holiday packages worth about $200 each to more than 50 children to the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center as part of The Full House Charity Program.

"I hope these packages make the holidays a little brighter for these deserving families. My family and I look forward to this special night every year, when we can help spread the joy of the holiday season," said Lee. "The sole purpose of the Full House Charity Program Giving is to give back to the community and put smiles on the faces of these children and their families."

Lee, along with his son and daughter, will provide the donations on Dec. 20, where they will meet with and hand out the packages to over 20 families and their more than 50 children.

Dr. Jeffrey S. Geller, director of Integrative Medicine and Group Programs at the health center says, "Bernard’s gift giving has become a wonderful tradition for our Empowerment Group Program participants and their families at GLFHC. The children really appreciate his thoughtfulness and generosity with the gifts he gives."

Each family will receive a gift certificate for a family meal at Chili’s, while each child will receive in their package Chili’s drawstring sports sacks, winter clothing including RunGoodGear.com sweatshirts, books including Sports Illustrated for Kids magazines, board games, sports balls and toys. Eastern Poker Tour, which hosts pub poker tournaments across New England, contributed many of the toys and games for each package. Lee even took the time to receive and honor specific requests from every child.

Tana Karn, president and CEO of RunGoodGear.com offered support for the cause saying, "When Bernard asked us to get involved with The Full House Charity, it was an instant call."

Although Lee’s charity program launched in February 2011, Chili’s has only been in partnership with The Full House Charity for two seasons.

"Joining Bernard and partnering with the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center is a way for us to reach out and help provide an enjoyable holiday for parents and children alike. This is our second season and Chili’s appreciates the opportunity to participate in providing some holiday cheer," said Patrick McClelland, area director of Chili’s-Pepper Dining Inc.

The Greater Lawrence Family Health Center is located in Lawrence, Mass. and assists with improving and maintaining the health of individuals and families by providing high quality health care services.
